Just 5 km from the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, this 17th century farmhouse has been renovated and converted into a stylish rural hotel. Each room has a unique rustic décor. The original structure of the former farmhouse has been maintained and incorporated into the design of the rooms, featuring wooden or tiled floors, and exposed stone walls or wooden beams. All have central heating, a TV and a private bathroom. With prior reservation, guests can enjoy traditional Galician food and wine, including caldeirada, a fish stew, or Galician-style octopus at A Casa da Torre Branca. The hotel lounge has a fireplace. There are several biking and hiking trails in the surrounding area, including Monte del Gozo and Camino Francés, both leading to Santiago de Compostela. A bus to Santiago stops outside the house every hour.

The house was originally a 17th century farmhouse and has been perfectly modified to accommodate travellers. The included breakfast was as good as one would get anywhere. We stayed in for dinners and they were truly marvellous -- and we were able to say what we would like in the morning. There is a bus stop directly outside the house and the hourly service gets one into town in 15 minutes. We stayed at the house because we had become weary of the noise and bagpipes outside our hotel in Santiago.

The location is excellent for those who want to visit London, but also elsewhere, because it is with many hits. The house is located in a very nice area. The family that welcomes us were always available to help us. location is beautiful. Advised of only two options for dinner but food was very good, breakfast also very good. Kitchen staff friendly. Great value and beautiful building, lovely room, very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The property is beautifully renovated and a great alternative to staying in Santiago de Compostela. Marisa & Martinez were wonderful hosts. The food Marisa prepared for us was the best we have had in all of Spain. We loved the history of their amazing 17th century homestead. Just loved the place. No dinner ordered but some fine Tapas and wine appeared when we wanted a plate of cheese! And SUCH good value...including a fabulous breakfast. Charming accommodation with loads of appeal. Comfortable and cosy. Well maintained historic casa. Excellent, reasonably priced dinner served too. The food (diner and breakfast) was excellent. The room is very romantic. We enjoyed our stay very much and the house is beautifully renovated. Lovely hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, great dinner!. Lovely family who were kind and attentive. Beautiful setting. The house is very picturesque in open countryside with easy bus access to the city right outside the gate. It was very cold at night even in June and they put the heating on. The place and the house were very nice and comfortable. only a little thing to improve is about direct sign board, I also got confused even though having read travellers' complaints and decided to be careful, however, thanks to local persons' kind help, it wasn't that hard to find the place. Neither hosts nor staff on site when we left, another guest ordered us a taxi to get to the airport. We had to leave credit card details for a bill we hadn't seen, still haven't received a receipt in spite of requests. No written information in English anywhere. Hosts speak little English. Our only regret was we wish we could have understood Spanish better. We know we missed a lot because of it. Absolutely nothing to not like. The room was very dark as the only windows were the small ones in the top of the stable doors. We had dinner the first night and were the only guests. However the man who served us hovered all the time which was a bit disconcerting. Food was not particularly good and they tried to charge for a full bottle of wine when I only had one glass and my husband had a beer.
