Featuring a saltwater pool with sun terrace, Anchor’s Rest is in seaside Hermanus. Whales can be viewed in season from the cliffs 150 metres away. All rooms have a patio with barbecue. The spacious rooms have light décor and a satellite TV with DVD player. Each has a private entrance in the garden and one overlooks the mountains. The kitchenette offers a microwave and fridge and kitchenware is provided. A healthy breakfast can be taken daily on the patio or in the room. There are a few places to eat in the New Harbour, 10 minutes’ walk away. Many bars and restaurants are found in the Old Harbour, 5 minutes away by car. Hermanus Golf Course and the Blue Flag Grotto Beach are both under 8 km from Anchor’s Rest Guest House. Free parking is available on site and a shuttle can be arranged to Cape Town International Airport, 107 km away.

The owner(Guy) was very friendly, including staff. hospitality was excellent. had a fabulous time, will definitely do it again, real value for money. We enjoyed our short, but very comfortable stay. Travelling information

From Cape Town: - When in Hermanus pass the Gateway Centre shopping mall and Total garage on your right. - Go straight over the traffic lights and take the 2nd road to the right, De Goede Street (also marked with Private Hospital and Harbour signs). - Travel down De Goede Street towards the sea and at the T-junction turn right into Wesctcliff Road. - Anchor's Rest is on the right-hand side immediately after the road bends to the left. From the Garden Route via Standford: - Enter Hermanus village on Main Road. - Immediately after the Main Road takes a sharp bend to the right, you will pass the old stone church and the Post Office on your left. - At the Shell garage turn left towards the sea. - At the T-junction turn right into Marine Drive, which very soon becomes Westcliff Road. - Anchor's Rest is on the right-hand side immediately after the road bends to the left.
