The apartment was lovely and quite large. We didn't use the pool since we weren't there that long. (An overnight stay.) The rooms were large and beautiful. The shower was the best I had since leaving the States! Leon, the owner, let us in after arriving a full hour later than allowed. We were anxious that we weren't going to have a place to stay since it was 2300 hrs when we arrived, but he didn't hesitate to open the gate to let us in. The staff there, servers, cook and office assistant, There.
kaikki arvostelut » We arrived in Cape Town and had no where to stay and 51 on Forrest Drive where efficient and made our booking quickly and timeously and we were never disturbed when we were there and the food was delicious!. Owner was very accommodating, because I booked one day later then we really wanted to stay. Since he had a room for that night there was no loss to him and there was no extra charge. Very nice of him. This was exactly what I required and close to where I needed to be. Very Friendly and Helpful Staff I will certianly use this Lodge for my next visit. The staff were wonderful - especially Lisa! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The rooms are tastefully furnished and very clean. Large comfortable accomodation, close to Cape Town city and the airport. Rooms were spacious and well equiped for our needs. Accommodation was superb. Very friendly group of people. I will stay there anytime. O ja I will do that in future. Breakfast was most enjoyable Warm welcoming Guest House Friendly and accommodating staff Great location. The food is great The staff is brilliant. quirky great food comfortable beds. it's clean, near the airport, cosy. Ideally situated for exploring Cape Town and its attractions. Unfortunately there was no Internet access since there were repair men working in the area so we weren't able to connect and this was the day before we left the country so it was semi important to check our email to determine who would be our ride home from the airport. Nothing. It would be nice to have a sign out, so one can see it from the road, since the place is totally hidden behind thick bushes. The bathroom did not have a door The Outside Security gate did not have proper lighting and trying to open it at night was a bit of an issue. The above are comments but I certainly enjoyed the few day I spent. Nothing bad to report. It was spring so we had rain and cold weather Some very poverty strivern areas. Internet access patchy due to SA Telkom working on the line. kitchen a bit scruffy but staff happy to order in and cook what we wanted to eat at night so no real complaints. Nothing. I was woken at daybreak - 5am - because the blinds don't shut out the sunlight. I did not get enough sleep because of that. bit noisy. the heater was not enough and i could not sleep because i was cold, no enough blankets. Furniture is a bit old fashioned. Not enough coat hangers No shower curtain or door - makes having a shower COLD especially since there is no bathroom door. Water pressure problems - water flow changes during showers when something else uses water as well. No tissues in room Plug point next to bed for your cellphone / alarm needed The carpets were not clean. I have not yet received a copy of my invoice. Please can it be e-mailed. 1. There was no aircon in my room 2. Failure with management to prevent mosquito 3. Not enough pressure on the shower pipes.
