Everything was exellent. Breakfast was just fantastic. Our room was very beautiful and clean. The halls of 1st and 2nd floor were fabulous, with a fireplace. Location itself is calm and quiet.
Location is a bit far from the nearest metro station and major tourist attractions.
The staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. The apartment we stayed in was beautiful and spacious and clean. I would always stay here every time.

This hotel is simply superb. The staff are among the friendliest and most helpful I've ever met, The hotel is in a lovely building by a canal - very quiet, yet only C. 15 minutes' walk to the main street of St. P, Nevsky Prospekt. The breakfast and dinner were both excellent, and my room, with a four-poster and a beautiful bathroom, gorgeous. There's also a very cute little courtyard and garden.
There was nothing at all about the hotel I didn't like. But just one word of caution to travellers - I was told, I'm sure in good faith, that it would take C. 30 minutes by taxi to the railway station. In fact, St. P. has some of the worst traffic jams I've ever seen, and it took over an hour; I got my train to Moscow with just one minute to spare!

I liked everything
The hotel is a splendid old house in a very quiet area. Our room was very large and comfortable. The buffet breakfast (included) was excellent as was the restaurant in the evenings. However, the best feature of the hotel was the staff - friendly, helpful, and with fluent English. My wife found the bed a little too soft for her back - housekeeping quickly set up a mattress on the floor which solved the problem. In short - highly recommended.
This is not really a dislike, but in fairness to readers of this review, the hotel is not too close to the main attractions, nor to the metro. Be prepared for a taxi to the Hermitage unless you are OK with a 30 minute walk (which we did and enjoyed). The nearest metro was about 15 minutes.

A unique stay where the accomodation was personal, staff attentive and ambience relaxed. Overall I highly recommend.
Staff was so nice,attentive and helpful. Check in and out was fast and easy, no waitings. No deposits at check in. Room (Mallorca) was very nice, cute and comfy. It was on the first floor with the views into the garden, where the outside terrace are in summer times. Might be in summer time there not much privicy, cuz out the window are tables of the restaurant's terrace. But during winter time it's perfect. But anyway the room was great. Fast wi fi for free, complimentery 2 bottles of water, complimentery small champagne and small chocolates for wamans day (8 of march) Breacfasts are great, lots of choices. For such a small hotel it's a really suprise! Location near the water, with the views to the canal from some rooms, with the nice promenade , especially in summer time. For about 10-15 min walk city center. Finally, we really liked the place. No complains. Definitelly stay there again when we'll be in SP again.
