  Great staff who took time to give us recommendations, give directions, etc. They also speak English well which was an important bonus. Breakfast is a good spread with lots of variety, definitely saved time and money on that. And the location is excellent- right near Nevsky and just a 10-15 min walk to all main attractions. The personnel is wonderfull, excellent english and helpful. A complete breakfast, with russian specialities and also continental food for foreigners.   We enjoyed our stay. We booked 3 double rooms. The rooms were large for hostel standards. It has a large living room area and a kitchen. There is one toilet for women and one for men, however, we did not experience any lines. There are 2 shower rooms (M&F) with 2 showers in each.
