  This was a great hotel, reminded me of a quality American hotel with large rooms, restaurants, and fitness facilities. The location was perfect for sightseeing in Bergen. We arrived at the train station after our Norway in a Nutshell tour and walked approx. 10 minutes to the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic and included in the rate. - The location is really excellent, very very close to Brygge, Bryggens Museum, Rosenkrantz Tarn and Akon Hall. Just outside the hotel there is the bus stop for the shuttle service to the Airport (with frequent rides every day). Breakfast is good and with a wide choice of food. The rooms we booked - two standard rooms - were sufficiently spacious, definitely clean and comfortable, though not very bright.

There are three flyss buss stops very close - only 40€ to get to downtown Bergen (fish market, the mountain tram, train station) The breakfast was delicious, the room very comfortable - I found the price one of the best in Bergen ... I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise. Couldn't believe the room and the view from the full wall of window, 20 foot high.   It was a good hotel, close to the centre and that is wat I wanted when Iwas looking for a hotel. Loved the internet access - It is close to the center and very hand to use during the weekend out with friends.I also like the idea to have breakfast outsie the door to be consumed when I feel like it.

  My husband and I stayed at Citybox from the 25.10.13 to 27.10.13 without any problems. I agree with some reviews below, it is a hostel and not a hotel. However we had a very comfortable stay in an en suite room in an expensive city. This place was not only cheap but also walking distance to everything as Bergen is a small city. Our bed was comfort... mitä ihmiset sanovat » able, our shower was warm and our sleep was uninterrupted. No tv in the rooms but my husband loaded a couple movies for us to watch on his tab. The wi - Very close to the railway (5 min max. walking) and to the city center (10 min walking). Kitchen with microwave oven and tables. The cutlery can be borrowed from the bar opposite to the kitchen. The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms are most of the times clean (mostly depending on the other guests which are sharing the bathrooms with you). The room had an electrical heating system, which was very good.
