Loved the take of a modern Riad built in the traditional fashion located in the middle of the mayhem of the Souk of the old Medina. Ideally located to truly experience both the old and the new Marrakech. Why stay in the 'sterile' new city hotels and never experience Marrakech as it's meant to be experienced? Tried the Hammam and the pool as well as the Terrace on a gorgeous sunny day. What a place to escape to from the mayhem of the souks of the old Medina and the travails of the daily drudgery.

We appreciated being showed the way to the main square the first evening and that there was always a member of staff waiting on the corner of the main street to escort us to the riad late at night. Great facilities and atmosphere to escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh medina. Everything. This is a fantastic experience, the total package. The most relaxing hotel I have stayed in for years. And all the while, just outside the door is this very almost surreal experience of the souk and the medina. The staff is very genuine in their hospitality and care to detail and the guests needs and comforts. The pool, the spa, the rooftop, the lounge, the rooms, everything was a perfect experience for the five of us. Best place in Marrakech. Well situated, very elegant and nicely decorated. Staff re wonderfull, they make you feeling home. Good healthy food, various home made breakfast. We really appreciate to be accompanied with mohamed to go to the square jamaafna which is very helpfull. Spa is a must, it makes you immersing yourself in history. I recomend it and sure will be back for more days. Tks you all. Staff is perfect, helpful and friendly. They satisfy every request. They will even walk you through the medina "labyrinth" the first time, to help you find your way. The hotel is beautiful, clean, calm. Good food and better breakfast. Some staff members were very helpful. Copied some local music on a pen-drive and gave us a late check-out. Getting back late can be a daunting prospect for the average Westerner especially as it's easy to lose one's way!. The only hiccup was our spa experience. We arrived for 50-minute-long massage and hammam. The massage took 25 minutes and the hammam 30 minutes, and neither of the two members of staff couldn't speak English so we had trouble communicating with them (unfortunately French isn't our strong point). Initially we were offered a 'discount' of 15% and after some negotiations we ended up paying around 50% of the price. We would have, however preferred the full experience in the first place. Walking back to the riad at night may be scary, though that seems a problem of the medina in general. the neighborhood is undergoing restructuring and the access road is temporarily not perfect. Breakfast was good but we expected a little more for the price. Minor quibbles; a few more savoury options at breakfast and for the price of the room I would expect new bottles of water to be provided on a daily basis - this didn't happen. The two streets leading to the Riad were a building site and left in a permanent mess. Having to navigate this became annoying after a while. The door key often didn't work. Nothing, for taxi drivers it is difficult to find but telling them That it is close to THE fountain helps!. we were very disappointed that this was a modern Riad built 3 years ago. We thought it was an original riad. They are the real ones. We stayed in one in Fes and it was an amazing experience with homely atmosphere and service.
