Extremely well sorted and organised guest house. The owner, Swiss, built it himself (according to his very own high standards). Nothing for the average anonymous hotel guest. This is a guest house where you should atsy longer than just one night and get in touch with the hosts. They are so charming and their story is more than interesting. Ask them for anything. they will help you. Food from the local girl is excellent, eat at home!.
kaikki arvostelut » If your idea of a great holiday is to have large opening windows straight onto the Atlantic Ocean, and a glorious sunset, this is the place for you. Great to potter around the Medina and stroll along the sandy beaches without the need for transport. We booked two nights in the Carat suite and stayed for three. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean in superb location. Highly recommended. The location is great, in the medina and shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. Its also close to the beach. The best thing about this place are the owners. They are just absolutely great. They take time out to ensure their guests are doing well. I will stay here next time as well. Seriously, dont waste your time and stay here. It was a very friendly place. The owners were very warm and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They spoke 3 languages including English and made sure that everything was to our liking. The food was excellent and we were sorry we hadn't eaten there every night. We felt very welcome. The owners did everything to make our stay perfect. It was a beautiful place te escape from the crowd at the markets. The Riad has a great style and comfort, the host had an eye for detail wen he built it. The food was excellent, we loved it. Excellent Hammam, scrub and massage. It is within the Medina on a quiet and convenient location. Rooms facing the sea have an amazing view, although more expensive, breakfast was very good. Our room was lovely and spacious with a very large shower also. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. We had a one hour massage on one of the days which was excellent. The masseuse was very good and ensured that we were comfortable throughout. The place is clean, friendly service both the owners, the front desk and the breakfast cook. Location is very good inside the historic city. Nothing. It was perfect. nothing really. Not very cheap, considering other options available, but thought it was worth the money. If you want to use the jacuzzi or use the hammam, book ahead. no remarks. Entrance- but typical for these Riads amongst warren like medina so not really a complaint. nothing. N/a. Nothing, everything was perfect.... Leaving. The roof terrace lacked charm. The owners should have a think about how they can utilise this space better as it has the potential to be really good. There were occasions during our stay when we did not feel completely comfortable and felt like we were intruding on the owners private property. The very essence of a riad is that it is a 'home away from home' but sadly we didn't always feel this way. I am frequent day trip traveler to Essaouira and this is second time to spend the night. Very very very disappointed with the city, it became filthy, dirty and trashy. Moroccan restaurants in the touristic areas are filthy, poor service, bathrooms makes you change your mind. Avoid Moroccan restaurants for they are unclean. There is an Italian restaurant and it is clean and good service. The alley to the Riad is fifthly and dinghy could use lots of cleaning.
