Riad Dar Maya is a wonderful place to stay - in all honesty, I wasnt quite taken with Morocco as much as I hoped but once arriving in Riad Dar Maya, I was in heaven. The staff are extremely helpful and will bend over backwards to help you with anything - they are so incredibly polite. The decor and rooms are beautiful and its impossible to not relax as soon as you walk through the door. I was hesitant on the rating of the riad before going as you always have your worries, but this by all means .

We truly had a memorable stay at the Dar Maya and Gareth, the owner ensured that our stay was perfect. On our proposal night, Gareth organised a nice surprise for my fiance, by arranging heart-shaped flowers petals on th. We highly recommend the Riad Dar Maya for your trip to Essaouria. When we were there in May, the riad had only opened a couple days before, but everything went very smoothly already. The owner himself and the local manager took very good care of us, explained us the hot spots of Essaouria and made our stay there unforgettable. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated and make you feel like home. The absolute highlight for us was the roof top terrace, with a few over the rough sea, and a. If Essaouira is on your itinerary, then Dar Maya is the place to stay in! Everything was exceptional - the rooms especially the ensuite bathrooms, the terrace upstairs, the hamman, the breakfast... but more importantly the outstanding personal service we received from all the team at Dar Maya. That I couldnt take Nini and Eddy (cutest dogs) home with me. Absolutely nothing - Our stay was just perfect!. absolutely nothing!!. Nothing. Nothing. We could have taken a quite comfortable coach trip from Marrakech to Essouira instead of the rather expensive option of a private taxi. the rooms on the higher levels at less noissy ( as all the riads.....). If I have to mention anything, I would expect more professionality in the staff. Orange juice at breakfast!.
