The people who ran the place were so nice and helpful. They advised me where I should go, what I should do and even gave me a free ride back to the station at the end of my trip. and helpful (the husband dropped us off at the station when we checked

A recommendable guesthouse for bagpackers! It's clean, friendly and easy to move around Kyoto.
1) The location was easy to get along the eastern part of Kyoto - very close to Kyomizudera, quite close to Gion. 2) The staffs there are really friendly and fun to be with.
3) Toilets and Showers are clean. Liked that there were many basins outside the shower booths (door closed) so that many people can enter at a time.
4) Each beds are with curtains and was clean.

Very friendly and helpful staffs. The hostel is designed as such fellow travelers meet with each other and it is good to expand the circle of friends from everywhere in the world. The staffs even introduced some Japanese food with us. In addition, they have a super cute dog, so if you have any allergies with them, you are not recommended to stay here. All in all, a great experience staying in Hostel Mundo and would like to recommend this place to the backpackers out there

Though the room was very very small it really doesnt mind because in this hostel common places are the best I've always been.
There are a lof of showers for men and woman,they are clean and you are provided of shampoo and everything you need, even there is a room with a lot of hairdryers.

The real plus is being with the japanese staff ( some can talk english ) as he house is rather small they are akways hanging around. They do evening meal all together along with some friends so if you want to meet japanese people, that's a perfect place and a friendly atmosphere.
