  Absolute everything! We stayed in the Ayanokoji-bashi for our final night in Kyoto and the place was amazing. We turned up to leave our luggage at their office, but they ended up allowing us to check in at 11am. The whole house was really trendy and comfortable. I would highly recommend it. It was my favourite plac - The house and the "Kura" or old warehouse have been reformed with taste. The surrounding of the house (japanese garden), the wooden (cypres) bath, the whole of the facilities are amazing. You feel at home but in the Japanese style. It is unforgettable. We will go again. Better stay during the week than week-end (price) but it remains ideal to visit Kyoto. We recommend at least 2 nights to really enjoy the house !

Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts served to us in the room each morning were wonderful - particularly the Japanese breakfast.   The hotel is nice and our room (two adults and two kids) was quite large. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We never ate at any of the hotel restaurants and so cannot comment. As with other Japan hotes they provide lots of amenities. All in all it was good choice and good value for money. The purpose of my vacation was to see the temples, see the Gion district, and dress up like a Geisha. She helped me to plan everything with the buses, trains, taxis, etc. She had maps for me in English that were extremely helpful. The hotel is centrally located near the main attractions of Kyoto making it ideal for my vacation.

  My stay of 5 nights was a truly lovely experience from arrival to departure, wonderful room design (King, level 2), everything thoughtfully arranged, lots of space to hang and put away clothes and other items, scrupulously clean, spacious shower, a calming room which was a delightful refuge after busy days out. I've lodged at many fine hotels across the glob - 1) Breakfast - European buffet was to die for!! they cook ham in front of your eyes, excellent choice of fruit, muesli, sausages, fish. 2) Spacious room. 3) Staff speaks good English and very helpful, allowed us to leave our luggage for free for 3 days even when we left for Tokyo and then didn't come back to Hyatt again. 4) Locality is really convenient for both sightseeing (next to Kyoto Museum and various temples) and logistics point (5 min from train/shinkansen station)

  The service and comfort in this hotel is exquisite. If you are going as a couple in Japan and are tired of small rooms then try the superior double room at this hotel. The beds are huge!! And they are extremely comfortable. The room is also a very decent size. Its location was a little far from tourist areas, however it is conveniently located near a subway station and the hotel shuttle helps you get to the train station. The staff helps you in giving directions. - Check in/out with storage service at Kyoto train station is a really convenient one. The rooms are surprisingly big and cozy with superb city view. Location is excellent to access the Nanjio temple and other famous spot. Dining and caual walking in this area are superb.
