Vain 7 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä JR Kyoto -rautatieasemalta sijaitseva Ryokan Kyoka tarjoaa yksinkertaisia japanilaistyylisiä huoneita, joissa on ilmastointi ja vihreän teen keitin. Paikan päältä löytyy vapaasti käytettävissä oleva internetpiste ja kolikoilla toimivia pesukoneita.
Kyoka Ryokanin huoneissa on tatamilattiat (oljista punottu) ja japanilaiset futon-vuoteet. Asiakkaat voivat katsella maksu-tv-ohjelmia.
Hotellissa on pieni sisäpiha, jossa on kalalampi. Aulassa on tarjolla ilmainen kiinteä internetyhteys, ja vastaanotossa on matkatavarasäilytys.
Yksinkertainen länsimainen aamiainen tarjoillaan ruokailutilassa lisämaksua vastaan.

Ryokan Kyoka - Valokuvat
Mitä ihmiset sanovat
The hotel staff were pretty friendly and offered great services for us.
Even though we arrived around 11pm and bath-time was over, the owner told us to enjoy the bath. it was really nice after a long drive.
The location is pretty great too.
Also, I had a souvenir from my boyfriend's family, which needed to be in fridge, and the owner kindly put it in his private fridge for 2 days. VERY KIND.
Thank you so much!
The room was really traditional and lovely. Typical Japanese Inn, in which I really . kaikki arvostelut »
Some facilities may need renovation but the ryokan itself is very clean and comfortable. In each of our double rooms there was a shower and additionally every evening it was possible to soak and relax in a hot o-furo (public bath). The ryokan is located in the centre of Kyõto, near Higashiyama or Gion, but in a small street so it isn't noisy at all. The little Japanese-style indoor garden is really cute and so Japanese! ;-) The rooms are also very traditional and just a bit old-fashioned.
Clean room, incredible water pressure in the shower, quiet, fantastic
location, good price. I ended up staying one extra night in kyoto due to
a last minute change in plans, unfortunately, there was no beds
available here. I ended up staying at another ryokan for 1700 more yen
per night and it was a smelly, noisy dump. 5 stars to Ryokan Kyoka for
folks travelling on a budget.
It takes just 5~7minutes by foot from Kyoto station so I could go anywhere I want easily since there're a lot of buses in front of Kyoto station and there's a tourist information center in Kyoto station. And, every rooms are private room and very clean.
Rooms very pleasant to stay in for the first time. Very quiet which made it relaxing. The man made my check in a very easy process by having a english form to fill out.
I would defiantly stay here again!.
Great place to stay if you want to experience the traditional style of
living in Japan. The staff was very nice and friendly and the room was
spotless. Would love to stay there again.
I really appreciate the service of the stuff people. They were really kind and nice and were able to talk with us in english. The Ryokan was very clean and the location is really nice.
Lovely basic Ryokan with a friendly older couple running the place. Great location, close to the station and walking distance to many historic sights. Would stay again.
we like japanese ryokan style,
you have to if you go there!
But there is no onsen in this place.
It's our secund visit there.
It's basic but well situated and cheap.
Despite limited English by the old couple, all fine here, good Internet, nice room, close to train station - great start for my holiday.
Giving the opportunity to experience a Japanese style Ryokan without the massive price.
Really close to the main Kyoto train station.
Traditional and simple
A great place to stay to experience tatami mats and futons in an area close to the train station
Good wifi.
very friendly old grandpa, it reminds my grandpa who has been passed away.
very fast wifi and perfect location.
Generally, the traditional, old atmosphere of the ryokan. Particularly, the tatami matress and the pillow. :).
Clean room. One computer for internet access is a plus. Convenient location.
Super clean, decent location and neighbourhood
completely comfort.
very traditionnal and authentic ryokan, very quiet place.
close to Kyoto station, big room, well maintained.
Great architecture.
location, quiet.
like the clean attached shower room, only toilet is shared. Location is convenience to everything, within walking distance.
close to Kyoto railway station
staff almost invisible, friendly, helpful
good Wi-Fi
clean rooms.
It was very conveniently located for sights & station. Wi-fi.
Big warm room, very comfy futon bed, good wifi.
Good location, friendly staff.
Traditional vibe of ryokan.
big room not easy to find in Japan.
I do not really find anything with this price.
My first night I got about 25 mosquito bites, but only becase I was
unaware that there was a window screen. Cant really blame the staff
about that, but just a heads up to whoever stays there in the future.
I'm not sure there's another bathroom in the 1st floor but there's just 1 bathroom on the 2nd floor in spite of a lot of rooms. And the staffs are not rude but don't speak English at all so I couldn't get some information from them.
very noisy chinese guests.
It was a little cold in the room over night.
Nothing.
one mosquito flying around in my room, so sad.
I found the temperature in the room a bit low.
Wifi signal cannot reach the back of the hostel.
sometimes mosquitoes.
a bit hard to find due to lack of road signs in Kyoto.
Small Breakfast.
some of the area/facilities looks a bit dusty/old (timed).
no kitchen / refigerator
shower room needs cleaning.
Our room had almost no natural light and was very dark and stuffy. There was supposed to be breakfast, but when?? This did not live up to my expectations of a Ryokan. The shared bath was a tiny shower. I did not feel welcome.
Unfriendly owners, receptionist who couldn't find my booking for ages and didn't even look very had. Total lack of security at night.
No fridge in room, shower room smelt a bit (drains).
staff inadequate. Rooms not so clean.
This Ryokan could be an option for backpacker traveller. However is expensive comparing the services offered.
Need further improvement. Not so easy to locate, very basic facilities. Won't consider staying in this location.
the staff was rude and the room was moldy - better deals just around the corner.
After so many good experiences with japanese hotels and japanese people this ryokan was surprisingly unpleasant with a rather rude and uncommunicative staff. The ryokan is not very clean, it has one shared shower for the whole floor. With thin walls it is noisy during the night. Finally, we have decided to go to another hotel after two nights.
