Everything about Kyoto Miyabi Inn was great, especially the location. Although very, conveniently close to a subway station, it is accessed through a "shoutengai" (with all its charm) into a narrow alley and then a narrower one still. My Japanese daughter-in-law was thrilled, saying: "This is the real Japan!" I was visiting Kyoto with my son and his family, who live in Wakayama. The five of us, including two very small girls, were very comfortable at Kyoto Miyabi Inn - I just wish we had lo. kaikki arvostelut »
Very clean, lovely traditional guesthouse. We booked in on short notice and were even given a tour of the house. Good facilities, everything you need for a stay. There was a tablet available for internet access which was great. But there is also WiFi available if you need it. Short walk to the town center and right beside a metro and bus stop if needed too. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Awesome two story authentic Kyoto house with an exceptionally service-oriented staff that is fluent in English. Just remember to keep a note with the address in Japanese and the phone number of the hotel, as many taxi drivers will not find the direction and will call the hotel owners for exact directions. When you have learned its location, you will easily navigate there. Highly recommended!.
This is one place where the "hotel" is really part of the holiday. We had fun exploring the place, and enjoyed ourselves very much. Never had so many photos about a
"Hotel" before. Talk about an immersive Japanese experience ! The staff is extremely friendly, and will go out of her way to help you enjoy your stay. Great location too.
I enjoyed the whole experience of spending a night in a traditional Japanese dwelling. I also had the entire house to myself which was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English.
Reception is a very kind and good english . We are very get a comfortable from her information.
There was really nothing I didn't like. As with everywhere I stayed in Japan, it took a bit to get used to the little pillows filled with styrofoam beads!.
It is a little on the pricey side, but you gotta do this before everything modernizes....
The place was difficult to find initially but, in fairness, the staff did come looking for me when I didn't turn up at the allotted time.
