  Great location. Can walk just about every where except to the Vatican which is a bit far. But very close to the metro (5 min). Close to restaurant. More of a local area (vs very touristic area). Room very clean and big enough for 3 people. Breakfast is good. People are helpful although they do not speak a lot of English. Very convinient and has beautiful decoration. You can use the terrace all day and night, romantic, perfect for couples or even for group of friends.   Hotel Ercoli is a very clean and friendly place. The room is really small (we had standard double) so it suits for those who are looking for a good bed in the end of a long day spent in beautiful Rome. There is a very good breakfast (fresh bread, cheese, ham, eggs, jams, cakes, yogurts, etc.).   I do read reviews, but unlike most people,I dont moan about silly things. This hotel I have nothing bad to say about it, its all good. We took a bus which cost us 1.5 euros each to the Vatican. as this is about 25 min drive away. Hotel rooms were spotless as was - Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was able arrange an extra nights stay after we missed our flight at short notice. Room was good size for 3 adults. The Hotel was close to the central station and easy to find, even with the hotel that close it was not affected by any noise. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food outlets adjacent to the hotel offering a varied choice and at good prices. Will stay there again.
