I went with my father and he was also please with the hostal. The location is great, is actually just rooms, not a hotel but as we just need it the place to sleep as were away the whole day.. was ok. You just cross the street and are already in Vatican, the bus to the center and Termini Train Station is right in the corner, 3min walking.
Arturo, the owner is really kind and helpful. He even pick us up at the train station. kaikki arvostelut »
Arturo was very generous and met us at the B&B before check in time to allow us to store our baggage (we arrived earlier than expected due to airline flight change). The room was clean and a great location. You van nastily walk to the metro, bus stop and taxi stand. There are nearby restraunta that make it easy to eat after a long day of sight seeing.
We arrived late in the night and Arturo went to the train station to pick us up there and drove to the hotel, it was wonderful. After this, he showed us how to move in the city, where to go and how to go. Is was very good.
Location was great, owner very helpful and informative, quiet and very clean. Nice room, bed and bath. Near great restaurants, conveinent to buses and taxis. Would book again!!.
in fact this is not realy a hotel, just some rooms in a simple building. the only difference is that at 12:00 someone brings in your room juice and some bakery.
The location was great, close to Vatican, and bus stops were also great and close by, lots of restaurants and shops.
very good location , friendly owner - gave us all the information that we need for Rome.
Location and friendly and helpful owner.
Bed was ok, it was quiet neighborhood despite closeness to the vatican. Internet included was good as tv didnt work at all.
The proximity to the Vatican was brilliant and there were good restaurants and cafes nearby.
Bus 64 to the Termini main station.
Located in a safe, quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk to the Vatican. Basic accommodations that were clean and inexpensive.
Excellent location, could see the St. Peter's Basilica. Peaceful and quiet rooms in a basement apartment.
Close to place Saint Pierre.
The welcome was OK.
Free Parking not so far from the hotel (1 km).
great location, close to San Pietro, Vatican and bus stops.
Closeness of satisfactory restaurant.
Located close to Vatican. Bus stop into Rome +-50 m away. Owner took the
trouble to do a quick orientation tour of the area, which was much
appreciated.
Location, we had no need to use any buses to visit cities top what to see.
The breakfast could be better.
The "breakfast" consists of a juice box and prepackaged sweets (think American ding dongs) preventing healthly choices or a wide variety. However they were useful as desserts for the kids.
We had a problem during the bath and the bathroom was completely wet. We used our towels to dry the floor and let the towel, completely wet, in the floor. Next day, when arrived, this towel was on the bath and there was no new towel for us, it was very bad. The breakfast is good, but only sweet to eat. We missed something salt (a butter, a cheese) and milk (there were tee and coffee).
breakfast and the shower was not very clean.
TV didnt work (3 channels first day, none after that), not really breakfast included...some plastic wrapped junkfood and sugary orange concentrate. They either forgot coffee or cups in the room. The fridge made annoying sounds after a while and we couldnt keep it plugged in due to the noise.
In a basement on a fairly noisy side road.
The shared kitchen was useful but there were very few utensils or crockery and one of the two mugs (for four people) was badly chipped.
There was also no hairdryer. All these were provided on request but the chipped mug was returned for guest use!
We were also asked to pay cash.
Not charming or well designed.
Hotel doesn't have a lift and no reception.
Breakfast is not really included : we had to make ourself our coffe or tea in each room in a very small space, with no possibility to have a common breakfast all together (we booked 2 rooms). Quantities to eat was not sufficient and the boiler not adapted.
Not a real hotel, just a privately owned flat. We had to let the owner know when we arrive. There is a taxi service from the airport to the hotel, but the driver was late and we had to wait.
The breakfast consists of a croissant, crackers and jam and we had to prepare the coffee ourselves.
There are 3 keys from 3 different doors.
The check-out is by 10.30.
Too little sound proofing to room. Clients in next room came back one o'clock in morning and talked loudly for an hour or more.
Room felt like it was in a dungeon (below street level). Not a very nice
entrance to apartments. It served its purpose for sight-seeing in Rome +
the Vatican, but I did expect something a bit more up-market and homely,
given the name. Having said that, for people travelling on a budget, it
was okay as price & location are ultimately the over-riding factors.
Just do not have high expectations of the actual room.
1. expired on groceries abandoned for breakfast
2. I requested a smoking room and did not get a notification that there is no such room but the room was non-smoking
3.moving from room to room
4. change of towels every 3 days without warning when booking.
