I missed one train from pisa to poggibonsi at that night, and made the arriving time to 0100 am. I called the hotel and they waited me until that time. They are really nice!
And it is really near the station, can get on the bus to Siena and San Gimignano easily. -

Wow what an amazing place. It is very remote in the Tuscan mountains but just what we needed after a few days in busy Rome. The nearest shop is a 20 min drive away. But we loved it as it was so peaceful and relaxing. The owners are so friendly and make you feel at home. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable only downside was no oven but we managed. The location. It is simply stunning. The piazza is a really buzzy place. There are good restaurants all around the area; great home made pasta to bring back. Eating in is a delight, as the apartment has a better view than any restaurant. The facilities are fine. It's very clean, there are oodles of towels and the hot water is hot. We loved the hotel from the time we arrived and throughout our stay. The front desk is exceptional. Our room had a balcony with double doors which we rarely closed so we could hear the surf. The furnishings were "simple elegance". Everything was very clean and fresh. Breakfast was a feast and the coffee order was immediately taken and served.
We would most definitely stay here again.
