I was extremely impressed with the warm and friendly welcome we received from the owner, Kay, from the minute we arrived to the time we departed. Having stayed for the night on the first day of our holiday, we returned again for the last night in order to be able to catch the early ferry. The welcome and friendly service provided was consistent on both occasions and I would not hesitate to stay at the Old Orchard Lodge again on future visits. Kay was very friendly and very accomodating. She offered to pick us up
from the Rosslare ferry port, but taxi were easy to come by when
departing ship. She gave us a ride to the port to pick up our rental
car. Her breakfast was delicious and the room, house and setting were
lovely. Very very clean. Dinner at either corner pub was good but will
cost about 15 euro each.
Kay made us very welcome on arrival with delicious cakes and a cup of tea and gave ideas for evening meal. House is spotless and welcoming with a beautiful walled garden to enjoy. Fantastic shower in room. Great breakfast made in plenty of time to get early morning ferry which is only a couple of minutes down the road. Would certainly recommend.
Lovely place to stay, close to the port so we didnt have to get up too early to catch our 9am ferry back home. Kay looked after us very well even getting up early to give us a superb breakfast to see us on our way. Room was very nicely decorated & furnised and we were made to feel at home straight away.
Very friendly welcome. Coffee and lovely home made cakes on arrival. Very comfortable room with everything your could need including bottled water. We left a jacket in room and got a phone call within a short time with an offer to meet us with it. Would definitely stay there again.
greeted with scones and tea on arrival.

overall: very nice staying , thanks.
Kay and Andy were wonderful hosts. There were many lovely thoughtful touches provided and the breakfast was delicious with many choices. Our first impression of warm Irish hospitality received at Old Orchard has set the tone for our trip.
Excellent location to the port, off the main road, so very quiet. Homely touch having tea, scones and cake on arrival. We were made to feel very welcome. Rooms and facilities exceptionally clean. Great breakfast to send us on our way.
Lovely friendly and comfortable family B&B. Made to feel very welcome with tea, hot chocolate and home made cakes on arrival. Cooked breakfast was excellent too. It was very close to the ferry which were catching early morning.
We stayed at this B&B at the start and finish of our holiday, and certainly found a winner. Everything about this B&B is of a good standard, and will stay here again next year.
Friendly Staff, flexible. Lovely breakfast and nice quiet location with local amenities within close walking distance. Great for stop over if getting the ferry from Rosslare.
Good sized room for a family (double & 2 singles). Staff extremely friendly, coffee & cake on arrival great and was the best breakfast we had in Ireland.
Great location for the early morning ferry, very friendly and helpful landlady, wi-fi easily available and great breakfast. Definitely recommend.
Warm welcome. Spacious room stylish and comfortable. Fantastic
breakfast. Great location - close to the port and restaurants. Highly
recommended.
Friendly, welcoming owners. Refreshments on arrival and helpful
information about the local area. Good location, nice places to
eat nearby.
The gooh Irish hospitality and warmth we received plus the relaxed approach to kids. We also appreciated the tees and scones on arrival.
Perfect location for those taking the ferry. Kay was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Very conveniently located near food/pubs.
The situation was ideal for a night before catching the early ferry.

Great Food.
Great friendly staff. Tasty breakfast .
Great location for ferry and very nice bed and breakfast. Nice people to
deal with and lovely welcome.
Hard to find any negatives, only that tv reception was bad (but who
travels to watch tv?) Go out and explore the countryside!.
Nothing!.
Walking distance to pubs only, need to drive anywhere else.
The en-suite was a bit cramped, with the basin on the other side of the bed from the toilet/shower room. Would have liked a bigger towel in the shower.
No complaints.
Not many restaurant/pub around Thin walls, can be noisy if the other guests leave early you will hear them!!.
Nothing.
Sliding door to toilet and wash basin facility away from this and other side of bedroom.
That I only stayed two nights.
Nothing.
Unforetunately the rooms we had for the night were extremely cold which
was made worse because we had a 8 week old baby!. But we felt it wasnt a
commom occurance and just an oversight that night we stopped - it
wouldnt stop us booking again with assurances that the heating was 100%.
