Mary is such an excellent hostess with sincere loyalty to her guest and has a wealth of knowledge to guide us where ever we wanted to go. The breakfast room was a nice way to start the day with smiling faces and good conversation. Mary's B&B is nicely located to downtown and we enjoyed the 10 minute walk to the shops and pubs. The location was excellent and the main reason for chosing this establishment - easy walking to Galway centre and pubs/restaurants. Parking on site was possible but tight. Room was small but typical of this area. Owners were friendly - offerred us a free G&T when observed us to be a little stressed on arrival. Breakfast good.
kaikki arvostelut » Absolute 10 out of 10 for the Asgard B&B and it's host Mary. Stayed in a very comfortable and lovely decorated with 3 of my friends. The location is excellent, right next to the sportsground and only 5 min walk to Eyre Square. Will definetly be back to stay here on our next trip to Galway. The staff were very friendly. Mary prepared for breakfast just what I had asked her the previous day. Besides, there was no problem in leaving my luggage at the B&B all day and picking it up in the evening before my bus was leaving. I was given a quiet room which was very well-equipped. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Asgard Guest House. The proprietor was a lovely person, very helpful and full of information of fun. I felt (feel) like family. What was advertised is what you received and more. Perfect location from city center and near all amenities. Our stay at Ashard was wonderful the staff was so helpful and made our short time in Galway enjoyable. They were also experts on not only Galway but all of Southern Ireland, and shared their insight and priceless tips making the remainder of our trip even more memorable. Good location and friendly welcome. Everything was clean and tidy and the breakfast was tasty and generous. It was quiet and away from the noise of the town centre but only a short walk to the town and bus station. Generally good value for money. Our visit here was exceptional. Mary met us at the door and we felt so welcomed. The house and room were wonderful, the beds comfortable and the food fabulous. We would loved to have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Mary was very helpful -- we had to leave very early and she got up and made us a full breakfast before normal time. She also gave us a lot of assistance getting out the door. generally very accommodating. The owner, Mary is extremely nice, lovely, very informative, willing to help and give hands everything we want with her kind hearted host since ever. Breakfast is excellent. Everything was just awesome - friendly, lovely hosts, clean rooms, comfy beds, perfect service, tasty food. I already know where I stay on my next trip to Galway! :). Traffic noise, but this diminished as the night progressed. Pretty much all was good. Unfortunately our rooms are too small and the isolation between rooms is very poor with bad quality. If these points are solved I would really strongly recommend this place to everybody to stay in Galway. breakfast could of been served until 10am instead of 9.30am... Not very good if you came to spent weekend. Couldn't pay with a credit card despite the online information to the contrary. Nothing. I absolutely would stay there again and highly recommend this B & B to others. We arrived during a big rugby match. Stadium is close to this B & B. not enough parking and had to walk about a mile with luggage when we finally found a place to park. A hassle when you arrive tired. Get there early for a parking spot. The bathroom was a little small. nothing. a bit of small room. we cannot complain of anything !. Breakfast and check-out time earlier than most places but no big deal. Room tiny, but I expected that from other reviews, not a problem, noisy, but not too late or early. On-street parking monitored from early morning. nothing. Rooms too small - quite cramped actually. Also the room we had in the annexe was quite chilly (it was unseasonably cold for the time of year though). Nonetheless, typically poorly insulated Irish/English property. Room small - bed pinned against wall, not so comfortable Location of bedroom thro breakfast room not ideal. Too much noise from outside the room. The room was downstairs next to the entrance, and every time somebody came in or left, it woke me up. Better sound proofing in the room would be advisable. very closely, very creaky floors, officious staff. So many guests. our room was just inside the front door so was very noisy. Tiny attic room. Tiny ensuite, no water in the morning. Tight parking (had to park in the street.) Very poor value.
