Very friendly and helpful staff, (Thanks to the manager for directions to the hairdresser ...much appreciated !) leisure facilities impressive, great value overall. everything and we will return. We liked very much the athmosphere in Ennis town also which will influence our desire to return. Lovely leisure centre and spacious rooms in a nice setting. Very relaxing, just what we were looking for!.

This was worst in five years and not value for money. Very little. It was convenient to Ennis. There is no public transport from hotel to town, it was a nice walk but a long way! Taxi fare into town is apporx 8-10 euros. The hotel bar menu could be improved, wasn't much coice if eating there more than a couple of times, although quality of food was ok. I wouldn't recommend the restuarant. I thought the food quite blandand pricey!!. smell of smoke in room and stains on carpet. Distance from main thoroughfare.felt it could have been cleaner. The shower was a little tempramental and the lighting in the bathroom could be better.Bedrooms need renovation. Damaged elecrtics on bathroom towel rail and bath drain stuck. A bit noisy in the night. No airconditioning. This was not in the room description. I do not think this a four star standard of hotel. Bar person said that food in restaurant was overpriced for what it was, restaurant food was not great. The restaurant does not in any way match the hotel. The staff in the restaurant are poorly trained, service is bad, food extremely poor. Staff seen to have no idea what they are doing in the restaurant.yes the hotel was very disappointing. the service by some staff was terrible and the food was quite poor. i asked for a simple thing such as a request for a glass of water and that was not even brought to me. the hotel is in lovely surroundings but many of the staff need to receive customer service training. Very shabby, dated rooms, uncomfortable, no A/C in rooms, stale smoke smell in rooms and corridors. General air of neglect about the hotel.Breakfast choice poor, staff not helpful, lights not working in room, sink in bathroom cracked, very poor reception on tv, remote control broken etc etc. The carpet in our bedroom was stained and the grouting around the shower was marked by mildew. There was evidence of damp around the entrance lobby. The bar was unfriendly and poorly stocked. The hotel reception could not provide us with a sewing kit.The cleanliness of the room there was blood on the bathroom floor from the time we went into it. we requested a smoking room and were assigned a non smoking got it changed and then there was no ash tray. the sheets on the bed had holes in them there was no remote for the tv and the hotel at night was very noisy. Cleaning staff entered our room 4 times before 12 noon on the day of our departure. The resturant was appalling! The staff had great difficulty inunderstanding. The food was not good.

Travelling information

Directions form Shannon International Airport:
- At the 1st roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Airport Road, N19 (signposted Galway, Limerick Ennis).
- At the next 2 roundabouts, take the 2nd exit onto the N19 (signposted all routes).
- At Shannon town roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the N19 (signposted Galway, Limerick).
- At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit, then merge onto the N18.
- Continue forward onto the N18, entering Ennis.
- Once you reach Ennis, drive straight through 5 sets of traffic lights, continue until you come to a large roundabout (Cusack roundabout).
- Take the last exit for the N85, signposted ‘Lehinch/Ennistymon’ and after ½ mile, turn left at the ‘One Mile Inn’ and the Woodstock Hotel is situated approximately ¾ mile down that road on the left.

Directions from Galway:
- Take the N18 via Clarinbridge, Kilcolgan, Ardrahan, Gort, Crusheen and Ennis.
- Approaching Ennis town, turn right at the 1st roundabout.
- Follow directions as above.
