In a quiet location with beautiful views of surrounding Connemara and the sea, the 4-star Sharamore House is just 5 minutes’ drive from Clifden. Fish caught from the Sharamore's own boat is served at breakfast. Rooms feature en suite bathrooms, free toiletries, a hairdryer and a TV. Tea/coffee making facilities are available in the room or upon request on the lounge. Free WiFi is available throughout, and there is a computer and printer available for guests. Fresh fruit and cereals from the buffet are available for breakfast, followed by a choice from the menu, which includes locally sourced smoked salmon, a full Irish breakfast with sausages, puddings and bacon from the local butcher, and free range eggs. Other options include pancakes or smoked fish with spinach and poached egg. Sharamore House has been recommended by Guide Du Routard 2016. Maps showing the best of Connemara are available and Sharamore guests can benefit from reduced rates to visit Kylemore Abbey just 15 minutes away. Connemara National Park is a 10-minute drive, where entry is free and you can climb to the top of the famous Diamond mountain.

The best B&B we have stayed in on our 10 days trip through Ireland! By far! Sue and her husband have been fantastic hosts. Book early and try to get a room with a view to the sea if possible but even if you can't you cannot go wrong with this B&B. The rooms are nice and clean and comfortable, the breakfast is in a beautiful room from where you can see the sea and breakfast itself was absolutely gorgeous (I am still dreaming of the pancakes ;-) ). From there it is only a 5min drive to Cl.

Just minutes outside Clifden town it was in a beautiful setting, nice spacious bedrooms and the food was excellent, using home produced and local produce. Will definitely go there again. Loved the quiet location with a wonderful view of the inlet. It is just a bit outside of Clifden, but very easy to find. The scenery was lovely in a restful location with a lovely yard. Sue is the best. She made us instantly feel "at home". Her breakfast was one of the best we had in Ireland!. The Sharamore was the nicest place we stayed in while in Ireland for 4 days. Sue was friendly, the facilities were clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. We would recommend the Sharamore highly sand if we visit this area of Ireland again this is where we would stay. The breakfast was amazing, a lot of choice, fresh fruits, delicious products. The hosts were really nice, we really felt warmingly welcomed in a typical irish home. The best place we stayed at during our tour ! If we come back to Ireland, we'd like to stay there a bit longer. Drive across to the island, explore the cemetery, find the Last Man Standing. The room was large, well furnished and had a view of the bay. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. The smoked salmon is recommended. Sue is a fine host who made us fell very welcome. Very relaxing atmosphere. Cleanliness was imaculate. Sue was very welcoming, could not have been morre helpful, breakfast was Devine, I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone. The view from our room was spectacular. Directions: If coming from Clifden, take the N59 to Westport. After 3 km, take the left turning signed for Claddaduff. Sharamore is the two-storey yellow house just 30 metres along this road, on the right hand side. It is less than a 5-minute drive from Clifden town.
