  It is an interesting location, right across a mill stream from the old castle on the lake. The Eszterhazy Palace is around the corner, but it is not open and in need of much renovation. The hotel is right next to the lake, which has an excellent walking path. Boating is available, but we did not have time. There did not appear to be other restaurants close by, but we had a very nice dinne - Great location.We loved Tata. We were on the first floor and both of our rooms were large. We enjoyed several wonderful meals at the restaurant.

  We really liked the apartment. It is well located - only some minutes from the beach, ferry terminal, promenade, train station, shops etc. Rooms were clean and quiet. It is a pain to park our car in the city. However the apartment has a garden were we were able to leave our car. The staff is friendly, helpful and able to communicate well. It looks very plain from the outside but the inside is clean and well-maintained. Rooms are small but fair. The area is very quiet and the terrace is spacious, great for relaxing and with a fantastic view of Lake Balaton. The owner, Gabor, is friendly and helpful and this was a good place to stay for stopping over as we toured the Balaton Lake region.
