Balcony rooms (I wasn't around to 'use' one so did without) might get some noise from the square but this is an excellent base in the heart of Argostoli, with a good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff and a few yards from the quay. -

Stayed at Tourist in early August. We are a family of three so it was nice to have an extra room for the kid. Balcony was facing the harbor and was on the shady side in the afternoon. The room was spotless. They cleaned it properly every day. Excellent breakfast. They even make coffee on request so that you get exactly the one you like. Staff members were very nice and helpful. Great view, cosy and clean rooms. The owners are really friendly and always available to assist you in planning your vacation in the most efficient way by actually helping you to combine the places to visit so as not to spent your time in car (since the island is big). We really appreciated the way they treated us and we felt very welcome. We definitely recommend it.

This is a grand hotel which was available at a very reasonable price. The hotel dominates the very large main square of Argostoli with many restaurants nearby. Reception was exceptionally sweet and helpful, directing me to a delightful Greek place to eat. Good buffet breakfast included. And Nick Cage stayed there. What more do you want! -
