In short: best place to stay in Chania, wonderful hosts, clean, stylish, best breakfast in town, Chania is very charming, lot to discover, good starting point. Don't go there if you don't want to stay in a city, don't know what's beautiful, have no style, humor or want nothing but a hairdryer, a mini-bar and a 240-channel tv-service.

the room was spacious and clean,and was kept clean for the duration of our stay. the decor is lovely with a rustic feel. communal places are spotless. it is run by two sisters,rena and manto,who are the sweetest girls possible and a delight to chat with.talk to rena for a quick chania history lesson and recommendations on places to visit!! the location is excellent,a less than five minutes walk from the bus station (KTEL) and one minute away from the old port, and that with stopping along the w.
Manto & Georgia, were fantastic. With regards customer service, we have not come across any better during our extensive travels. It was my Wife's Birthday & 2 beautiful cakes with a candle & a bottle of wine, were in the fridge on our arrival at the hotel. The Hanim is spotlessly clean and is set in a very beautiful old Venetian building on a tiny street. It is in the very centre of Chania old town. Two minutes walk to the Harbour & the fabulous Splanzia area, which is were we d.
Our stay at Hanim was EXTRAORDINARLY wonderful! Our room was gorgeous and huge! Rena, her sister and husband Socrates are extraordinary host - a class act. Breakfast was culinary delight! It came in courses and everything was fresh, locally sourced and home made. Rena and team explained the dishes, ingredients with such knowledge and obvious pride in the superior and exquisite food they serve. The beach, wineries and restaurant recommendations they provided were superb and included some for San.
My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Hanim in Oct. 2013. It is in Hania Old Town and you get the in-town feeling. It is spacious, comfortable and clean. The service was impeccable and breakfast was excellent. People are genuine, caring and go out of way to help you. Magali came out in the night to guide us to the hotel. It was just a warm and wonderful experience staying at Hanim. Wholehearted recommended, and if we were to go to Hania again, we will definitely contact Hanim first.
Just a perfect place to stay. I couldn't recommend it more highly. The owners (two young sisters) were lovely and most helpful and welcoming. Really great! The room was just beautiful and with everything you required. Very clean. The location was perfect - two steps from the harbour but in a quiet side street. We had bed and breakfast and it was excellent with local cuisine, a must try. The location was very central yet hidden away in a beautiful alleyway without any noise pollution.

Everything was wonderful, owned by two lovely sisters that will go out of their way to make feel at home. Very clean, wonderfully designed and perfect location to venture old Chania. We have spend five nights in Hanim Lounge & Studios and enjoyed every minute we have been there. The rooms are very tasteful and tidy. Breakfast is being celebrated every morning. The entire crew is corteous, mindful, cordial. This hotel rocks ... literally.
Perfect is the only word to describe our stay at the Hanim Lounge. Wonderful people, excellent location, superb breakfast and a large family room on the top floor. Thank you Rena, Manto and Sokrates for making our stay so memorable. We will be back in 2014!.
