We were a little surprised to find this gem of a place at an awesome price when we booked online, but when we arrived, we were even more surprised at how wonderful our hosts Marie and Jean were. The first thing they told us was that we were quoted a higher price online and they would charge us a lesser price, they were very honest, very helpful in every which way, the hotel rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location could not have been better, we loved it our stay.
kaikki arvostelut » Hotel by itself is a three story converted town house with high ceilings and modern design. We had a view on ancient Rue Voltaire from our window; it's not far from St. Gatien Cathedral; they have breakfast in the morning; everything is crispy clean and all the guests were very quiet, so if you're looking for a place to relax this should be your choice. The location is amazing. So much is just within a short walk. The town itself if well worth a visit. Great old town area bustleing with bars and restaurants, very modern shopping precinct with wireless trams and beautiful riverside areas for walking. I will definately go there again. Location was great and staff were excellent. Air conditioning was a bonus and bed very comfortable. Excellent accommodations for the money. Had NO trouble parking the car. Location was perfect. The only difficulty was the lack of on sight parking. Staff was lovely! Room are small, but have been recently renovated and very clean. Location to the old city is perfect and the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Excellent value for money. location was very good with restaurants and a patisserie near by. 10 minute walk to the tourist center to board castle tour mini van. Location is good, staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and modern. A very good choice and good value. Friendly welcome. Pleasant decor in room. The only negative which is universal for any hotel in france was that the electric outlet for US plugs was only meant for shavers so would not charge laptops or camera batteries or anything else. The EU outlets were deep inside the wall making it impossible to plug in our converter. I highly recommend you to travel with an adapter that will fit a round EU outlet deep into the wall. The frosted glass doors to the bathroom caused much hilarity!. Had to lug the baggage up the stairs but that is largely our fault for packing too much. Pack light as there isn't an elevator, so you have to carry your bags up the stairs. However, not a problem for us, as we are more than capable, and the manager did offer to help. This wasn't a concern for us but less mobile travellers should be aware there isn't a lift....though staff are more than happy to help carry luggage to your room. sliding glass door into bathroom did not afford much privacy, and the layout of the bathroom was odd....but not really a problem, just, I could have designed it better. Nothing except the squeky floor when you walk or stand in the room. There was nothing to dislike. No elevator, but it was only a minor inconvenience (and they offered to help bring my bags down when I left). No English channels on tv. The staff were surprised when I asked to turn the air con on, suggesting that it was not warm enought to do so! In addition a bad smell in the first room we saw was shrugged off with the excuse that someone had had some cheese in the room. Shower cramped. Noisy street.
