  We had an enjoyable stay at the Chateau de Pourtales and do hope to return. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast served in a cheerful room in the Chateau. Our accommodations were in an adjacent building - quiet, comfortable and clean. The Chateau is surrounded by a beautiful park which includes many interesting works of art. The rooms are in the chalet next to the chateau. Our room was very comfortable with a fan, which was very nice since it was about 30 degrees Cel. during the day. The bar is self service. For € 70 per night incl. breakfast, this hotel we certainly can recommend. At the entrance of the chateau gardens is the wonderful restaurant Jardins du Portales. We really enjoyed lunch, and two times diner for a very reasonable price!

  This hotel is fantastic. We stayed here with our 6-month old and our small French bulldog for a quick one-night getaway to visit the Christmas Markets. I will say that it is hard to get to (especially this time of year when many of the streets are closed due to markets) but my husband hopped out and walked up the block to the hotel and they came a... mitä ihmiset sanovat » nd waved their card and let us through straight to the hotel. The hotel itself is small but impecable. I felt like I was staying in a castle of sorts. - This place was amazing. We arrived early 4 hours early and were promptly checked in. The reception staff member was very welcoming and showed us to our room. We also met the co-owner at the end of our stay, and she was more than happy to provide a wealth of information. Wish I had gotten their names to thank them both. The location was fantastic, the building had a sense of tradition and the spa area was clean and very relaxing. I will be sure to return to this hotel.

  We booked the connecting double/triple rooms. It was absolutely perfect for our family! My husband and I took the double and our 3 boys had the triple. The hotel's location is great! There is a tram stop about 200m from hotel, but we didn't need it. Everything can be walked to. I wish I knew his name because he was so incredibly helpful and friendly. - There was a slight mix up with our reservation, but the staff went over and above to resolve the issue, and even gave us an upgrade "for all the troubles." They were very pleasant and helped us plan our day. The location was perfect, right near the river, walking distance to all kinds of restaurants and tourist attraction. Breakfast was very good.

  After a long day of sightseeing, this was the perfect place to "come home" to... the receptionist was friendly and efficient with the check in process and it was of course fantastic that she could speak to us in both English and German.
