My room this time (302) was very quiet and facing the courtyard. Free - Hotel du Home Moderne is an excellent value, clean and comfortable with modern amenities. We were particularly impressed with the staff. Guillume and Jennifer, who manned the front desk, were outstanding. They always went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. At the buffet breakfast, Lore managed the breakfast room with efficiency and good humor. We also enjoyed the non-touristy neighborhood, which has lots of little shops and cafes and is conveniently located near transportation.

Made it easy for us to get on the bus with our luggage to go to Gare du Nord. Also found Subway and an Indian restaurant practically next door, which took care of our food needs.
