  My overall stay at the hotel was excellent. The location was good as my main reason for visiting was the Eiffel Tower. The staff were friendly on our arrival and at any time we met them. Our room was very clean and i was aware it had been recently refurbished but was still stunned at how clean and tidy the hotel was.   The hotel is on a quiet street just off main boulevards. Very near the Sorbonne and about 10 mins walk from Notre Dame. Very well situated for a direct metro link from Gard du Nord to Odeon.   Location, room, reception, breakfast. I do not understand, why has the hotel only 6.2 points. Everything was clear and well equipped. The receptionist gave us comprehensive information about location, transport and sightseeing. The sweety at the receptionist desk is a must!   I stayed in a triple room with 2 teenagers. Hotel Mistral was recently renovated, so all was fresh and clean. Nice open-air internal courtyard for relaxing after a long day visiting Paris. Quiet street, close to quaint shopping towards Denfert-Rocheraux in one direction, and Montparnasse in the other way, one block from Gaite metro stop.   The hotel is situated in 5min walk from metro station Chateu Rouge. Just very close. Very easy to go to centre. About 10-15 min by metro. And if you walk to Basilica of the Sacré Cœur it is about 10 minutes. I liked the location. First impression -it is a middle of nowhere but !!! it is not!! Lots of bars and restaurants are nearby. And it was cleaned every day. - The hotel is in a diverse area of Paris - lots of African hairshops around it. The street and area felt quite safe. The hotel itself is nothing special but it does the job for a very good price. Everything in the room and bathroom was clean, ample towels were provided, hot water worked. The room was quiet. The room's design was nothing special, so it definitely is a cheap place to get a good night's sleep. I have no complaints and would use it again.
