Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely authentic interiors in the style of the Enlightenment. Incredibly delicious and varied breakfast in pleasant interiors (optional - in the garden) and with magnificent views of the Palace of the Popes and the garden with apple trees, roses. I would also like to note the excellent work the reception, through which our car was taken from the parking lot (left the car at the nearest public car park as afraid of very narrow streets) and saved me from having to.
kaikki arvostelut » This was my second stay at La Mirande, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The staff is exceptional and very willing to help in any way. We used Avignon as our base to travel all around Provence and felt we were returning to a quiet home estate at the end of each day. Beautiful surroundings and the melodic ringing of bells is simply perfection. Wonderful ambience throughout with friendly competent staff and perfect attention to detail. Dinner at the Chef's Table was a highlight. One of our top 5 hotel experiences ever. If you stay in Avignon...this is the place!!!. Position,deco,the charming chef who took us round his kitchen. Its a superb hotel you should be proud. This is a hotel I shall return to all my life on my road trips between Sicily and London.It reminded me of a Fellini set. Lots of public spaces that were beautifully decorated - we had access to them all. It was like being invited to relax in a friend`s stately home. Excellent restaurant and wine list - even got to tour the wine cellars. The location is spectacular, literally right next to the Palais des Papes. Rooms and furnishings are beautiful. Service is spot on, and they make a decent martini, which is often hard to find in France. Wonderful, 5 star luxury hotel achieved within the confines of a historic building. Staff, food and service all excellent. Happy to return and stay again. We loved the small warm comfort of home. Wonderful atmosphere and helpful friendly staff. The location was Golden! The food is wonderful but the menu is very limited (two selections per coarse) and repetitive. We were there for seven nights and the menu was the same every night. Very expensive. All positive...no dislikes. Hellish to find by car. Wish there had been more help with this on the website.When you have been travelling and tired it is an added hassle. You need to look at your menu for snacks at the bar. They should be more traditional, home cooked and cheaper. We did not want a huge meal on our second night and that menu was expensive and dull. Lighting in our bedroom was confusing and too dark on the reading lights. They dont know how to make a Manhattten cocktail - a minor quibble. Their wasn't anything we did not like! Thank you. Great location right next to the Pope's palace but very hard to locate for a tourist driving a rental car. Location: great for excursion, difficult to find with a car. Overpriced. A lot of "clochar" in the city. A bit hard to drive to. the price for the dinner.
