Primorsko-Goranska Hotellit

Can recommend! Last year we had a good experience with the TAMARIS Hotel in Porec (VALAMAR Group) -so we checked their offer first. We ae a small family (2 kids:10 and 12), so we need either 2 rooms, or a suite. Selected Hotel Koralj, partly because it's suites have been refurbished this year, and it's poolsection was also added in 2008. Imay admit: the regular rooms might be too small (that's why 3 star), and we might have been given the best suite in the hotel. But it's size, location - Dominic

I visited the hotel on several occasions this year on business and used their large seminar / training room. The staff at the hotel were thoroughly professional and well trained. It's unusual in a Croatian hotel to find staff who smile! The rooms and all facilities are exceptional and the food is superb, with an excellent choice of dishes to suit all tastes. We did not book anything in advance, and wanted to stay in the Opatija region, most preferably Lovran. As we were driving in Lovran, we found three hotels beside each other, and checked all three. At first look Hotel Lovran was by far the best, and our choice proved totally correct. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast (which you can enjoy on the balcony of the hotel's restaurant, overlooking the sea). The sea is just a short downhill walk away. Our experiences at Punta are wholly positive and we have highly recommended it - other reviews here do not reflect our experience. Like most hotel developments in Croatia this is built around the communist era policy of locating developments outside the beautiful towns and villages so that tourist doesn't spoil the very things you are coming for: blue sea, fabulous views, great walks, fresh food. Great value for money we had 10 days the hotel needed a bit of tarting up in places but overall we felt like we had stayed at 4 star accomodation rather than 2 star, the decor was fab, rooms clean and the staff could not have been more attentive and welcoming. The hotel food was fabulous good choice and nice quality to match. Lovely indoor pool with mosaic design and a quite terrace with a couple of sun loungers where you could sit quietly and get stuck into a good book or sip a drink. En - Rachel

My wife and I stayed here from the 3rd to the 10th of October 2007. What a good choice of hotel this was the room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were very attentive,and spoke very good English. The food was more than adequate.And was buffet style. We had a sea view room. I would recomend this as the road was noisy. Hotel Park is situated seconds from the sea in the little village/town of Lovran. It is a lovely building, painted blue with white shutters. It is kept very clean and the staff were all friendly and welcoming, especially Mare the waitress and Lorena on the reception desk, who went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. My twin room was spacious and was cleaned every day. The cleaner amused herself by arranging my nightie in appealing poses! I was on half-board and the buffet style breakf - Terence

We returned today from Opatija and the Hotel Admiral. It is located at the edge of the town and a 2 minute stroll to the shops and cafe bars/restaurants. The hotel is 4star and deservedly so. It is very clean, the double room we stayed in was very spacious with free safety deposit box and airconditioning. A large balcony with remote controlled canopy overlooked the marina and had far reaching sea views. We took our own kettle and tea bags which I would advise if you like a drink when you wake up - Bob
