Motovun is the Queen of Istrian inland towns - Villa Borgo is located on the edge of the old town with stunning views form a shared balcony facing the setting sun. Slavin was helpful & informative about Motovun and the surrounding area - and full of apologies for restrictions on parking due to the new Mayor. The room was clean, the water hot, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast buffet included the usual suspects - with the addition of the nicest dark (rye?) bread we encountered on our travel.
kaikki arvostelut » I loved it all: Motovun as one of the most beautiful medieval cities I've seen in my life, if not the most beautiful, the host Slaven who's offering his finest grappa all the time (go for 'figue' if he's got some), the other hostess Jana, the hotel/guesthouse itself located at the best location in Motovun, the terrace which guests can sit on in the sun enjoying the view of the surrounding hills, of the sun setting and going down. Too much to mention for the two days we've stayed... Absolutely stunning place to visit! Motovun itself is amazing experience and hotel has exceeded our expectations! Locate in the very heart of Motovun, with great view (from any side, we had view to the street and it was as gorgeous as over the valley), very clean and cozy, great breakfast. Terrace with breathtaking view and best restaurants few steps away. Must-visit and recommended to everyone!. excellent and helpful staff. We were offered drinks as we arrived and were welcome to fruits. Included was a very nice breakfast and if you have any special request they will try to meet it. the room was spacious for 2. amazing view from their veranda. although the location is in the old town one can drive the car pretty close to unload or they will help you get your things. Lovey hotel, beautifully decorated with the gorgeous terrace overseeing the hills around Motovun. The art exhibited was all featuring Motovun and it blends with the rest. The breakfast was a substantial buffet I really enjoyed. The whole concept of a budget friendly gathering space for people all around the world in a beautiful medieval Motovun is great!. Apartma korekten, storitev vrhunska zahvaljujoč Slavenovi ustrežljivosti in poznavanju kraja in širše okolice. Fantastic location and comfort. Stunning views. cooked breakfast and very friendly staff. Many places to eat out right on the doorstep. beautifully quiet in the mornings. Short walk to parking area. Excellent position, great costumers, friendly atmosphere, great place for relax and enjoy. Wish to come back...every time when want to escape from big city in zen atmosphere. Staff were excellent- very friendly and helpful, lovely patio with a spectacular view, nice breakfast variety, close to restaurants, very clean and well maintained. More or less I liked it all, especially as a starting point for daily trips to surrounding villages and wine cellars for which this part of Istria is well known. This location and hotel far surpassed our expectations! What a marvelous town, restaurants, people and facility. I can't wait to return!. Within old city walls. No lift but staff helped with luggage. Nothing. Parking situation leaves much to be desired. Noisy when near the street, difficult to sleep with opened windows. Beware of cobbled steep hill-pack light!. Bedrooms not air conditioned.
