A good old school room, all the essentials to hand. They even presented me with a plate of fruit and vegetables on my first day. The location is top. Just a few mins walk from the Metro from where you can get the subway up to the Xian North Train station, for fast trains to all around China. It's also just a few minutes walk to the Drum & Bell towers and the great Muslim quarter. Room was spacious, clean and appointed with modern features.Located within walking distance of the underground railway and close to restaurants at budget prices.The hotel restaurant caters for European tastes, particularly breakfast. Staff always helpful, limited English skills.

Its was just 298 yuan and gave an excellent breakfast. In fact I had booked two nights at Skytel Xian but cancelled one night after enjoying the breakfast. City centre location on the Main Street . Good value for money and the breakfast offered a reasonable selection of Chinese and English fair. I did like everything.. great and large room.. clean , good services, soft bed, clean bathroom, and near to everything.. I like value for money especially for breakfast, they prepare for many choice food and drinks. Very smart hotel; beautiful communal areas. Good location, good facilities. Hotel was in city center, you can walk traditional areas. Staff friendly. Excellent history and learning about the events that helped shaped China. Good location in city center. Room fairly spacious. It was just a block from Xihuamen, where you can get a bus to the train station, where you can then get a bus to the Terracotta Warriors. It was also just a ten minute walk from the Drum/Bell Tower and the Muslim Quarter. Hotel is 5-10 mins walking distance to bell & drum towers and muslim street. Lots of shopping area around. Breakfast is allright but got tired of the same items after a few days. Request for service was promptly attended. The location is great for shopping & seeing the Drum Tower. Breakfast was quite good as long as you got up early. The room was a bit battered here and there but was tidy & clearly quite smart once upon a time. Good location - half way along the main street,close to all the sights, Walkable to the airport bus (only 26 yuan). Good buffet breakfast. Staff spoke enough English to do all necessary business. Good value for money. Location was good. I am sure the staff was Nice and friendly, it is just that I did not understand Chinese and they did not understand English. The location is very good, and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were sound-proof. That's very rare in China. Placing in main street. location. Clean. Smoking in the hotel was evident unfortunately. To get to the train station from the hotel is not straightforward. Indeed, the hotel advised us a taxi (charging 5 times what we paid to the cab to come from the train station). And to find a taxi in xi-an is not an easy game.... Nothing ..its was fine given the rate. Bath and spa need to have a explaination English language in the visitor publications in the guest rooms so that these facilities can be fully used. nothing. Only 1 or 2 hotel's staff can speak english. Breakfast located on 7th floor, but lift only went to floor 6! Took us a while for us to find out how to reach the dining room as we had difficulty communicating. Good range of food was served for breakfast (in chafing dishes) but was cold each time we ate there, sadly. Not so clean, breakfast so so,not western type foods. Bed was rock hard as usual in China hotel. Restaurant unreliable. No western breakfast. Room safe not attached to anything and could be carried away. Had to check out on 4th floor (?). No wake up call as requested. Taxis are hard to find especially trying to get to railway station. Would suggest hotel make an arrangement with taxi company to pick up guests as it would have made a great difference to us carrying luggage. facility in the room was old, staff was helpful. No wifi. Staff English is not great & they forgot to order our taxi on landing. No worries though as airport shuttle is only £2.50 to Xian center. No internet en la habitación. the wifi non avaliable in the room and no comfortable place to do something with it. breakfast was not good for me. Internet. beds were really firm. Although the staff tried to be helpful hardly anyone spoke English. but we found the place difficult to find is you are not Chinese...there is no sign down below outside saying Day's Inn (just above door would be good). The lack of service to air-conditioning system (sometimes the smell was awful). The bathroom wasn't that clean - I would shower as quickly as possible so as to not spend more time than I needed in there. The staff didn't speak that much English... That combined with the Xi'an accent made it somewhat difficult to communicate with them even with my rudimentary Chinese. I eventually got the information I needed from them, but it was a little stressful at times. The staff's English was virtually non-existent, which isn't a complaint but their not recognising the words 'Terracotta Warriors' or 'train station' is. The beds were hard. The bed was too hard. I moved out halfway in mye stay. The staff did barely speak English. This made the stay difficult. We got a room which had a heavy smell from smoking; the window was toward in internal mall. We asked to get another room; we got another one, promptly.This time, the room was smelling from a leaking pipe in the bathroom. We asked them to fix the leaking, which they did promptly, however, the smell remained. Overall the hotel used to see better times and would require now some serious maintenance and refurbish. Old fashion and really not a nice view out of the room window. Staff didn't speak english (as it were stated during the booking). the staff serving the breakfast was rude. The towels were in a poor condition. our two rooms had windows that neighboured the laundry/stoor room. when staff were in there they were loud. it was ok for our two nights but would be unsuitable for any longer. Requested for non smoke but got smoke finally and can't be changed. My confirmation was with ABF but hotel said room only. I had to argue for my right. Booking .com should issue confirmation in English only not in Thai. The facilities of this hotel are extremely poor and old, the safe in our room was not able to work, and the doorknob in the bathroom was broken, so we had to wait half an hour in the midnight for the repair. Actually to say, there are lots of better options at this price in Xi'an. They lied about how close to the Bell Tower they were. We checked out a day earlier because of an emergency with no problems. But then they charged my credit card for the second day without telling me. Absolutly nothing like the picture. Worn down dark hotel with medium standard. dirty towels , the bathroom is terrible. Staff attitude bad Service is bad.
