We liked everything. We've traveled all over from our home base in Utah and it doesn't get any better than the Blackstone. Great quiet location. Beautiful lodge with huge timbers. Great amenities. Bears in the backyard if you get up early enough. The young British couple who owns the lodge are wonderful. The breakfast of eggs Benedict and the oatmeal pie was the best breakfast we've had our entire holiday in Canada. Can't say enough, we can't wait to go back.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Location beautiful: water/island views and gardens. Close to bus stop to/from Victoria/Swartz Bay. A short bus ride from The Buchart Gardens. Nice short/flat walk to lovely town centre. Has a do it yourself laundry.

Friendly staff, I was able to check in ahead of time. Checkout is 11 am, which is very nice. A liquor store is in walking distance, which gives you a chance of enjoying a stay the dark rooms with thin walls.

We loved the history of this B&B. There were lots of pictures showing how the original house and other areas of Cranbrook looked. If you're into history, this is a great place to stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, the linens were great, the house was quiet, the breakfast was delicious, and the owner was friendly and informative.

The girl at the main desk ( december 4th, 2013 around 9:30pm) was really nice and actually made me appreciate my stay even more! Moxies was also really food and the entire staff was great! I love that the bathrooms actually had a bath and not just a shower, very classy ;) thanks for the stay and I will be back! -
