The main advantage of Riviera is location: right in the middle of Vancouver's beautiful downtown, 10 mins walk to Stanley park, 5 mins to waterfront, etc. Room are surprisingly spacious for a hotel and come with full kitchen (stove including). The rooms were quiet, I didn't hear the folks beside me at all unless they dropped something big. Decent kitchen, very comfortable bed. Balcony has a nice view of the condos and mountains. I had a Do Not Disturb sign at my door so they called to see if it was okay to do housekeeping instead of knocking. That was very nice.

The hotel was old but modernized. Great entrance with the ivory color
theme. The bathroom was retiled, new fan, and matching floor. Despite I
ordered a single double room, I was not charged extra for my sister
staying with me. For the price of $79 before taxes, the room was a great
value. We were accessable to the Lagoon and the Outdoor Jazz
Festival...only 3 blocks away on Robson Street. What a great part of

From start to finish staff were attentive and engaging. The B&B experience was all that one might wish, excellent food and even better company from the other guests. The amenities included evening sherry, turn-down treats, and homemade pastries. Location was perfect for all that we wanted to do during our stay in Vancouver.
