The cosy rooms at Pousada Morro do Forte have rustic red-brick interiors and wood-paneled ceilings. All are equipped with air conditioning, a TV and a minibar, and have panoramic city views. Guests at Morro do Forte can charter a sailboat and tour Paraty by sea. They can also relax with a drink in the hotels gardens, and observe the sun setting over Paraty. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. A homemade breakfast with freshly-baked bread rolls, cheese, honey and eggs to order is available. This place is a gem. The setting is stunning - beautiful views from the lush gardens of the old town of Paraty, the bay and the mountains beyond. As soon as you walk through the gates, you are treated to the smell and colour of flowers, the sound of a fountain spilling into the pool and a real sense of calm. The owner is wonderfully welcoming and her breakfast is amazing - a lovely range of fresh and delicious treats. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Travelling information

PLEASE AVOID HIGHWAY RJ-165 (PARATY-CUNHA) Highway RJ-165 is one of the options to get to Paraty. If you travel by car, the GPS route will take you through the town of Cunha. However, this highway is in very bad condition and presents serious danger to drivers. A safer alternative to reach Paraty is the route via HIGHWAY SP-099 (TAMOIOS), going through the town of Caraguatatuba. You can check the complete route in Google maps.
