  The staff was friendly and very helpful. All kinds of requested information was provided immediately. I was very much impressed by the fact that the receptionists were fluent in English which was not the case in much higher-ranked hotels (4+ stars).   The people working at the hostel were very nice and they organised a great party for the Saturday. Staying in a favela was a great experience and felt very safe there The place was always clean I met lots of good people so would recommend for people to stay here - awesome staff, wonderfull vue on rio beach, the best place to discover rio!

  Bianca and Eduardo were very friendly - they even invited us to a family BBQ on the deck and cooked up some of the most delicious meat we have ever eaten. The hostel is right in amongst the locals rather than with tourists. - Wonderful homely feel. Lovely people and place.

  The hostel has a really friendly culture. The staff couldn´t be more helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating and welcoming. They are clearly all people who enjoy their job and meeting folk so none of it appears to be an effort. But all of the staff are brilliant. For me personally I didn´t feel safe outside of the hostel on an e - Rick and all staff there are fantastic and really go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. The atmosphere is great and superb food is very close by. I liked my stay there so much even after I had checked out and moved into an apartment in Laranjeiras I went back a week later to see them for a chat and bite to eat and ended up staying the night!
