  The room was beautiful and had an amazing view of Salzburg which was not that obvious to us from the description of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful but not overbearing or snobby like in some other higher end hotels.   I spent two nights at Hotel Rosenvilla, and couldn't have been happier with my choice. Service was impeccable, and Stephanie warrants special mention for having assisted me in finding the hotel, to the point she actually drove to meet me and lead me there (how humiliating!). The parking is somewhat limited, but never caused me a probl - The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and really made our surprise birthday trip with all of their attention to detail. The room was large and spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent. Breakfast was superb and well worth the money, and the location outside the city centre is no problem as it's easily walkable (15 minutes along the river) or 5 minutes by bus. I would return to this hotel without hesitation.

The receptionist gave us directions and a map to guide our day trip that was great, and we were able to make our Salzburg Card right there. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom very well lit. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station. Although it is not necesarilly near the main centre of town, it was an easy 15-20 minute walk. Hotel is located on a quiet street, and the hotel is secure so you must have a card to get access inside. I stayed in a single room, so it was simple but just what I needed after a long day of touring.
