Once we got to the hotel, we were upgraded to the penthouse apartment for no extra costs and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us staying. The staff were helpful. It was very clean and extremely spacious. For 6 people staying, 3 bathrooms were extremely handy. The views from the large balcony were great, looking onto Brisbane River and the bridge. The area is very quiet and calming. We didn't use the free bike hire service in the end, but it was good to know they had it if needed. The ferry.

Walkable to Southbank with many restaurants, cultural venues, great promenade, park like environment and the lovely man-made lagoon. Would go back to Brisbane in a heart beat. A bit of a mix-up with our reservation. They had us down for the night after we had reserved. Brigitte at front desk was great and found a room for us with 2 beds (which was what we had requested). Not too sure what happened with that!. Location was very good; facilities were excellent, especially for disabled use; very stylish without being pretentious or too minimalist; staff very helpful (except - see other column) and leaving our luggage after checkout was very helpful. Have been staying at this motel ,on and of for about four years. We have always had great service, friendly service. Highly recommended. The size of motel and room .Friendly helpful staff good breakfast room .nice decor and a great position in the city but quiet . Excellent check in, very well maintained and clean. Looked after our luggage after check out whilst we went shopping. Very friendly staff. Centrally located close to ferry stations. Nice big balcony. Location wise, it was more inconvenient to always catch and wait for the free ferry every half hour to go across the river to go to Brisbane CBD. No elevator to the second floor which was actually 3 flights of stairs. Pricey for what was offered. Our hospitality tray wasn't replenished for 2nd day, and when I asked at reception for more teabags, none were brought to our room - I would have collected them myself! It was then too late to get any..... This is a small item and not important compared with all the plusses. Not a long enough stay. The shower over the bath was a bit of a problem because of the narrow sher screen and the pressure coming through the shower head .to have enough water it flooded bathroom floor . The 10am check out is too early. Very noisy as close to highway plus busy crossing just outside the room we had. Uncomfortable mattress, could feel every tiny movement of my friend who I shared the bed with. Little disappointed that bathroom wasn't cleaned during our four night stay. Room v small. No restuarant to have breakfast.Slight hiccup with online booking- wrong night booked at location. Desk staff friendly & helpful, phone staff reluctant to help. questionable stuff on the shower walls.... Location is close to bridge and thus loud when opening windows at night. Breakfast room and selection is very basic. Expensive for the size and appointments in the little rooms.
