I can't say enough about this place. I am always a bit leary when booking at a motel, but I need not have worried at the Nittany Budget Motel. To begin with, unlike a lot of other motels, this was not situated in "the middle of nowhere" off a depressing highway. It was actually located in what looked like a business complex with quite a bit of activity. When I first arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly and accomodating young man at the desk. A good surprise was Harner's Farm shop right across the road, that was a great place for buying apples & co. and our son loved the corn maze and the halloween spooks. Good price, the rooms are always clean, and the staff is always very friendly. Of all the budget motels we've stayed in in he State College area, this has been the best value for the money. Continental breakfast delivered to your room at any time. Easy parking. Nice size fridge and microwave. Friendly helpful staff.Great shower. Nice tv, nice long desk. The staff were very courteous and the rooms although a bit small were very clean and accommodating, also the beer store attached to the motel was VERY convenient!!. Rooms are clean. Rooms are a nice size. We liked having breakfast delivered to the room and being able to tell you what time to bring the food. Pleasantly surprised to find a microwave and refrigerator in the room considering it is a budget motel. Very clean. Close to Penn State. We have used the Nittany Motel several times and are always pleased with our room. We will continue to return there. After keeping the door open for a couple of hours the problem was gone. The walls are pretty thin, so if you get put next to someone loud, you'll hear everything. no shampoo or hair dryer. Pillows and bedding "budget". Need more pillows in rooms and a better selection for the complimentary breakfast. Old facilities. Red lamp in the bathroom. Nothing!. Nothing. Needs fan in bath. Book two rooms when we got there they only had us for one and no more rooms open.
