Loved the old historic building and location. Everyone was very nice.. I

extra charge when it was no extra charge at all the other hotels we

I liked the fact that it is an old hotel, which has a lot of class. I have been there before and with a city the size of LA, I feel comfortable with the location. I requested the highest floor possible and the quietest area and my requests were honored.

My wife and I stayed here a couple nights. The facilities were great, staff was wonderful and very helpful my only complaint was I had asked for champagne chocolate dipped strawberries and rose petals on the bed for the first night. As soon as we arrived this hotel captured us. It's location was easy
to find from the airport (though the driving on the other side of the
road/car was a little taxing). The Standard sign placed upside down,
the fire heated outside seating area, the colouful indoor waiting area
with pool table, warm and welcoming staff with a hairdressers and shop

all waiting when you enter. We were upgraded to a room with a larger bed
and docking station (the bed being the biggest ive seen, let alone slept

Everything was perfect. Excellent staff, special mention to Rodrigo, very helpful since the very beginning. The Rooftop is simply amazing, with a nice atmosphere and good music. We did not used the pool as it was always full, LOL. The location is also very good, with the 7th street Metro station 2 blocks away.
