Well maintained hotel. Extremely friendly staff - allowed me to check in early. Beautiful setting on the river, convenient to Rocky Mtn National Park. Nice, large room with couch in sitting area. Small balcony off the back of the room - made for a nice cross breeze. Fridge in room was nice for keeping snacks and drinks. Nice selection of complimentary snacks and homemade cake in lobby. hope to return again soon.

The staff was awesome. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and
gave us great insight into the local dining locations. The lobby
featured a eraser board that "ranked" the local eateries and
that was very helpful. The young lady who checked us out was most
gracious and accomadating and even loaded us up with extra granola
bars for the day. The hotel was not cheap by other towns standards,
but compared to other charges in the Estes Park area it was a value.

The Inn is placed just outside the centre of Estes Park which makes it easy to access and yet handy to go into the town if necessary. It has a great outlook onto the mountains and is of course convenient for access to The Rocky Mountain National Park. Happy hour was a nice surprise. -

Beautiful hotel. History in and around the hotel kept us busy for hours.
We never re- entered our vehicle once we got there. The price of the
hotel compensated for staying there, and not leaving the destination for

We loved the historical setting and views of the Rockies from almost every window, as well as the short walk down to Estes Park for dining and shopping. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accomodating!

We were there for an 18-person family reunion. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with regard to meals, rooms, and the like. letsbookhotel.com did not the the rooms correct. We were looking to stay in a
suite and the lodge does not have a suite. All the rooms have a
different floor plan as well but, the caretaker was more than happy to
take care of us and even lowered our rate!

The location is great, very close to town without being in the middle of the crowds. The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. That said, what puts the Maxwell Inn over the top is the care and attention of Phil and Dana. Twin Owls faces a rock formation that looks like two owls and that's all that matters. it's sitting at a gorgeous spot just outside the bustling heart of the town of Estes. It's a bit of a dive, but totally like something out of Northern Exposure. If you're super picky and high end, you may be disappointed, if you are easy going, this is the place without a doubt. Great views, super sweet staff.
