Room was lovely, if a little creaky underfoot.Staff were very helpful.

Unfortunately, the noise fromt he traffic outside made sleeping difficult-only extremely good glazing will ease that problem.

The floor boards are very creeky, that was the only down fall.

The hotel staff were excellent,very polite and helpful.Our room was on the top floor and was very spacious.Very centrall too not far to walk to be in the middle of all shops.Would definately stay there again.

we were not pestered by housekeeping staff at all, over three nights,so could have a nice lie in each morning.

The breakfast was excellent and the room most unusual as it contained a metal spiral staircase!

Limited parking facilities and staff move your vehicle when necessary. Ours seems to have picked up a large scratch.

The easy check in and out. The very competent and friendly staff- they were excellent everyone we met was cheerful and seemed happy in their work. The fact that we were allocated our rooms on arrival at 11 am when we had only expected to leave our luggage.

The shower was running cold in my room although the other two rooms we booked had hot water

we were in a room in the roof and this meant a lot of stairs. The room was large but there was no shower just a shower mixer tap

The location on this hotel is great. Breakfast great and staff friendly and helpful. It is a big + having car parking.

The central location to the town center with it's night life was very handy as walking distance so no taxi was required.

The hotel was good, it had an ideal location to the facilities we needed. Breakfast was excellent.

We were given a disabled persons room. We were not informed about this beforehand. eg. the wash basin was for me , at thigh level. The shower was stone cold and the room was also very cold.

the breakfast was excellent. it was good to have a car park so we cold leave the car there for the duration of our stay in York. The hotel was ideally located for the city centre.

our room had a bathroom up a spiral staircase in the bedroom. This was not an ideal arrangement.

We liked the location, our room, being able to park in the hotel grounds and the open style of the hotel which is in keeping with the town area.

The breakfast arrangements were chaotic on the Sunday morning. There was a lack of overall supervision and seemed to be no system for responding to the sequence of need ie toast, tea/coffe and hot food in sufficient numbers. There was not enough food out in the hot buffet breakfast at any one time and it was not kept warm, let alone hot. There was only cereal as an alternative.

My husband would like to see fried bread back on breakfast menu, however I expect thats down to a healthier eating option on part of hotel more than removing fried bread for choice.

I would suggest that you warn potential clients before they make areservation that wedding receptions etc may be held at the hotel andthis could mean noise up until 12 midnight
