I visited The Swingate with my elderly father. The member of staff who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. He showed us to our rooms, and then carried our bags from the car. The room was perfect, clean, comfortable. Facilities great. Attached restaurant absolutely fantastic. I do not do Chillies (allergy) but the food in the attached Indian Restaurant was absolutely fantastic and the service was just brilliant. I will stay again !

We stayed in the apartments which where spacious and great value for money. Downstairs there was a large seating area and large flatscreen tv plus a kitchen with a hob, microwave, fridge,toaster,sink,cupboards and a dining area. Free Wifi. There was a seperate downstairs WC.

The welcome that we received was excellent. The public areas and the
bedroom were nicely furnished and were comfortably warm on a very cold
and heavy snow covered evening and night. Our after dinner cheese
platter for two was nicely presented and would and could easily have fed
four people.. We look forward to a return to the Five Bells when the
weather is much warmer.

a real place with pleasant staff not like these corporate brands - We liked staff, we felt welcomed. Very nice and quiet place. We had a very good sleep and rest.
