For the cost of the accommodation, this hotel is a bargain. We thought it was as nice a place as a 5 star. The staff was great, especially Josh.
The food in the restaurant, we ate all 3 meals there and were satisfied with all. We can't say enough positive. In addition, the location was perfect to walk on the costal trail and travel to St. Andrews. There is no available parking, but we had no problem finding something on the street.

The Keavil House Hotel was alovely hotel and I would certainly recommend it to anyone, the service and food was first class and the room was light, airy and clean - Spacious room, quality of breakfast, facilities on hand e.g. swimming pool.

The room was smart and tidy and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was nicely laid out and you got choice of cooked breakfast as well., which was very tasty. The location was only 2 mins walk from the old golf course and within walking distance to the town centre. Jackie and Norman were very friendly and amenable.

The staff were excellent couldn't be more helpfull. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with varied options, the owner feeds the birds and we were able to watch them while having breakfast and were lucky enough to see a woodpecker.
Location was good only a ten miniute drive into St Andrews town centre. -

although i only had approx 8hrs there it was certainly one of the best places i have stayed in a long time ,its welcoming,warm , you feel like comfortable , rooms are good in every way the owners are brilliant food is good though had to miss some of my breakfast due to change of circumstances ,i would recomend pitreavie guest house to others ,i will certainly go back again for more than just one night

The size of our room was wonderful with a lovely bathroom, king bed and
plenty of electrical outlets (often missing in other hotels). The
breakfast buffet was fresh and well stocked and there was a nice choice
of entrees for a hot breakfast. There was optional turn-down service and
shortbread cookies to enjoy with coffee in the room; WiFi functioned
very well (also uncommon in other hotels).

It was a very nice stay, beautiful house, very nice room, quiet suroundings. Lovely hosts, Una and Hamish were very helpful and extremly pleasant (I know, lots of adjectives here, but this is how we felt), we've got a lot of useful information about the places we went to visit. Excellent breakfast (I particularly loved the scrambled eggs with salmon). We would definetly like to come back.

This is a unique place. Crawling with history. The ambience is laid back the furnishings are amazing. Lord and Lady Erskine and their staff were wonderful hosts and eager to please and ensure your needs were met. We were golfing in Crail and St. Andrews and this was central to both and Kingsbarns is a 2 minute drive away. We took time to explore the Walled Garden and the walk to the sea as well as explore the grounds. Wonderful place.

Gorgeous setting with lovely, hospitable hosts. The inn is very warm, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect time to interact with other interesting quests. It is a nice 15 minute drive to St. Andrews. We stay in B and B's frequently, and Kirkland Barns is among the best we have experienced! -
