We booked a suite and it was worth every penny, great views great room great breakfast.
We had a swim and had the pool to ourselves its a little dated and in need of some TLC but you would have to be a real winger to complain about this detail. The lifts worked fine but we opted to walk up the tastefully decorated stairs.

Stayed for a weekend in February 2013 and we enjoyed every minute. Hotel very welcoming, clean, nice and warm.
Restaurant is mega quirky and a joy to relax in.
Leisure area utilised, sauna excellent combined with dips in the pool (Which was a bit fresh!)
The breakfast was - delicious. Plenty of choice to be had both hot and cold.
All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will book again without hesitation!

The Hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the town, but far enough out to be quiet. I enjoyed my first stay there so much, Ive revisited 3 years in a row. Although I havent made use of all the facilities, they do have their own laundry, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Ive always found the staff polite, friendly and helpful. -

The owner and manager of the Aquarius B&B was extremely good at giving us all the help we needed, from trying to find the B&B in the dark and driving rain to what to expect on our first surfing experience. She is good at making you feel comfortable whatever time of day it is, and nothing was too much trouble.
The spa bath that came with our room was fantastic, as was the breakfasts. The rooms are bright and comfortable beds.

I booked this quite late after having a browse on the letsbookhotel.com, I read some reviews, looked at the location and was great. Room and facilities were fantastic, great shower, very comfortable bed, light clean room with plenty of areas for clothes to go, owners were the best part, were helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay more comfortable, even gave my friend a lift to the wedding, if we were going to miss breakfast they gave little take away breakfast bag. Would stay here again.

Location was excellent, 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes from town. Stunning views of the beach and golf club from balcony rooms. Bed incredibly comfortable. Easy hotel parking too, for £10. Awesome historic building overlooking the sea but don't be put off. Room was very modern, heated bathroom floor and the best shower I've ever been in. Clearly renovated recently. Restaurants were good, great breakfast (overlooking the ocean) and dinner. Friendly enough staff. Little expensive but not overpriced. Would stay here again.

I originally picked the Hotel California because I liked the name, wanted to stay in Newquay and the price is a good value.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Interiors are beautiful. The dining room had lots of windows, so you can enjoy the scenery while dining. Beautiful view of the bay from the outside deck. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but the temperature was little to cool for me to try it.
If I get a chance to go back to the U.K., I will definitely stay at the Hotel California

Cindy and Ashley were so genuinely welcoming and friendly. The room was uniquely decorated, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was superb. We were given great advice on the locality and where to eat etc. Cindy's ducks are well loved and cared for. We departed with a very favourable impression of Newquay.
