  We really enjoyed the stay at the London Visitors Hotel. Even though we booked a basic twin room with shared bathroom, they upgraded us to a nicer room ensuite. I had to take a trip to the ER and the staff called a taxi for us, offered to make me chamomile tea while we waited, and was genuinely worried. You don't find that kind of concern everywhere! Also I liked the location of this - breakfast was simple but enough. They provided a cooked English breakfast (without sausage!) but toasts, some fruits, yogurt and cereal were self-service so it was quite nice. The room was small but tidy and comfortable. And the shared bathroom was clean and not crowded. I didn't wait to take a shower.
