The older gentleman working in the reception was a perfect example of hospitality and he also seemed to have a great knowledge of Edinburgh, which he shared generously.

We arrived and were greeted by Stuart, who was very friendly and courteous during our check-in process. Then he took the time to give us a map and explain the many different things to see and do and made suggestions on how to go about it. He was very helpful. Every time we saw him at the desk as we were coming and going, he would make time to engage in conversation if we sought it out. We stayed in apartment 11 on the third floor. The view was incredible of
St. Giles Cathedral. The location superb two blocks from the castle.
Many restaurants and shops on the royal mile. Many tourists but inside
the apartment calm and relaxing. A bit of noise at night as shops and
restaurants were cleaning up and ghost tours ending but by 11pm all went
quiet until about 7am. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to everything
including Waverly train station.

Seriously, you could not get a better location, it really is in the
heart of the royal mile and only 5 mins walk from the railway station.
The staff are the most helpful, friendly and accommodating people -

The two brothers who own the apartment were so helpful and
accommodating. They provided information about where to eat, what to
see. From the moment we arrived they made us feel very welcomed. We
arrived early before check-in so they moved our apt. Up the line to be
prepped. They also stored our bags so we could enjoy the afternoon. The
apartment is extremely comfortable (good beds and linen!) and directly
overlooks all the bustle and excitement of Edinburgh's Royal Mile.
