The apartment was massive. The location was great and the kitchen was well equipped for making meals while away.

Parking at the ncp car park is about a 4 min walk away -- beware that when you validate your parking via the hotel, you are then charged an extra £3 on the 24 hour rate. Do not validate. Normally it is £16 per 24 hours but it is £19 if you validate.

I booked the penthouse for my mum's 50th. The view was amazing. The lift wasn't working so we got a complimentary bottle of prosecco. There was also bread, milk, cereal, butter, jam, coffee and tea. There was everything we needed. I loved the apartment it was very luxurious.

The apartment was a good size and nicely decorated

The rubbish was being taken out through the main stairwell area and it absolutely stank. There was also food left in the fridge from other guests

The hotel had some great rooms on the upper floors. The apartment layout was great for travelling with a group of friends and family. The bottom garden level floor was not as nice. Bar in the lobby was slightly understocked, but a great idea and a nice place to meet before heading out. Evening check-in/desk staff was always friendly and available (daytime staff, not so much).

Garden level room had a disappointing layout compared to other rooms. No door stoppers to keep doors easily open when transferring luggage from different rooms. Bath and shower fixtures were a bit old and rough.

We arrived and were greeted by Stuart, who was very friendly and courteous during our check-in process. Then he took the time to give us a map and explain the many different things to see and do and made suggestions on how to go about it. He was very helpful. Every time we saw him at the desk as we were coming and going, he would make time to engage in conversation if we sought it out. He made phone calls for us, he helped us rent a car, he helped us plan day trips, and really went above and beyond anyone's expectations. He made our trip more enjoyable. He should get a raise!

We had to keep our windows open ( no a/c) to keep our apartment comfortable, which made it difficult to sleep at night due to all the noise. We understand that a/c is not common place, but some ceiling fans would make a big improvement. When you get within 10 feet of the trash chute's in the hallways and by the elevator, the odor was very strong and unpleasant.

Central location, but quiet rooms with good views. Comfortable beds and spacious accommodation.

Arriving, on Sunday, as two couples and being allocated a one-bedroomed flat! No warning and little apology - "there's a plumbing problem with your flat. See the manager when he's on duty tomorrow". We were moved to the 2-bedroomed flat the next day, but it was in need of cleaning and maintenance.

Everything was great. Rooms were clean and the lift made access easy. The location gave every opportunity to visit the city

The older gentleman working in the reception was a perfect example of hospitality and he also seemed to have a great knowledge of Edinburgh, which he shared generously. As for the room itself, it was very quiet, spacious and had a cool and modern design. It was equipped with a huge flat screen telly, comfortable bed and sofa, big fridge, dining table for four, microvawe, bathtub etc. Talk about good value for money! Regarding the location, the hotel is situated within walking distance from the airport buses and the Waverley railway station. It is also only a few blocks away from an M&S Food Hall as well as a Sainsbury's Local (both in the eastern end of Rose Street).

My room was situated on the very bottom floor (facing the small private garden on the backside), which made it feel unsafe to leave the windows open while being away during the day and while sleeping in the night.

The hotel is really well located. The apartment has everything you need for spending some days in Edinburgh. It is spacious and bright.

You have to pay for the Wifi service. It could be free for mobile phones/smartphones.

Excellent location, right in the heart of the city and very close to the bus station and the main shopping area in Edinburgh i.e. Princess street, excellent amenities for families wanting to manage a bit of their own cooking etc whilst on holiday

Great location hotel first class only a couple of snags (one was ours) 1- Would have loved to haved booked 1 large apartment for us all rather than two. 2 - Also would haved loved patio doors instead of having to walk along the cooridor to accsess outdoor garden.

Great value for money, very spacious, clean and central to city centre of Edinburgh. Friendly staff and reception was open 24/7.

Creaky floors but it's understandable given the age of buildings in Edinburgh. Tram lines up grade on the outside street was annoying but got us on our way early in the morning.

The location was great with a short walk to Princes Street and main tourist areas. The premium one bedroom apartment we booked was a great size, very clean and comfortable with a nice outlook over trees and gardens. Various provisions were left for a continental breakfast which was nice.

The heating in the bathroom was turned up quite high and could not be adjusted so it was a little bit of a sauna at times.

The staff were very friendly, the apartment was very spacious and very well located. The facilities are excellent having all of the utensils in the kitchen area. Very clean and would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and we loved having our own kitchen. We had a garden room and would highly recommend staying in one of those rooms. you can't beat it for the price (and location!)

My partner and I were very impressed with this hotel. We stayed in the studio apartment which was very clean, had excellent facilities and was warm and very comfortable. Staff were well presented and helpful. Location is nice and central and close to anything you would need in the city. Great place! Will return, for sure!!!

Location. Helpful staff. I was upgraded to an executive suite of 4 rooms which was extremely spacious and made my stay very good value for money.

Hotchpotch of crockery/cutlery in kitchen. No problem for me as a solo traveller, but lets down the overall standard of the accommodation. Also bedroom door did not close. Hot water system difficult to control. Finally, the decor is white paint everywhere. It would benefit from a few pictures/posters to make it less clinical and more homely.

One of the employees was great, Cherri I think it was. The other, a young man was not at all helpful. In asking him to print off boarding passes, he said he wasn't allowed to access 3rd party websites. Really??!! That is a rule so social media isn't used by employees, not helping guests. The hotel also had lots of construction in front and that made access challenging.

Hotel cancelled one of our rooms on day of arrival, offered no alternative and consequently 4 of us were crammed in a small apartment. There was one bathroom (we were promised 2) and there were only breakfast facilities for 2. The hotel offered us free wifi and a bottle of wine but when we tried to claim it none of the staff knew anything about it. Poor communication and poor customer service.

Apartments are always useful for a family rather than a hotel room.

Presents as highly pretentious yet level of cleanliness was the poorest we have ever experienced in stays in hotels/apartments around the world. Apartment is very tired, kitchen and bathroom are warped and stained yet tries to presents itself as "executive". Bored disinterested reception staff with poor English.

Had potential - a few things need changing and it could be a really nice place to stay.

Mouldy shower curtain. No kettle. Fridge didn't close properly. All towels smelt of vinegar. Dust in places and old plane tickets under sofa cushions. Only one spare pillow. No tv in bedroom. The hall behind the reception had a terrible cheesy smell.
