We received a great welcome - spotless cozy room, comfortable bed with excellent central heating (it was cold!). The breakfast was the best I have had in a long time! Highly recommended.

We could hear the other residents moving about.

Location. A reasonable sloping walk down into Bath. Double glazing plus secondary glazing cut out most of the road noise (I am a light sleeper!). Free parking. Very good breakfast. Good sized room and tastefully finished to a good standard. Even where the bathroom had been added to the room they had matched the Coving, it is small things like that which show the quality of the place.

A very sharp turn into the entrance, especially if coming from Wells. Drive down, turn around and come back up. Parking is tight but is available.

Not too much to complain about. If any, the location is not in the centre of the city so it could take 10-15 walk to get to the main attractions.

We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived and we had complimentary tea and mince pies in the comfy lounge. The bedroom was lovely and the bed really comfortable! The whole hotel was spotless and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Great breakfast.

Lovely old hotel in a perfect location. Breakfast was lovely and bed was comfortable.

Room in the attic was quite small with perhaps a little too much furniture in it.

The accommodation was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The staff were most helpful - greeted us with mulled wine and mince pies. Every attention to detail was covered. Location was excellent - walking into Bath took all of 10 minutes. Very, very highly recommended.

Oldfields House was a real find and exceeded all our expectations. We were met with a warm and friendly welcome which included a tray of tea/coffee and biscuits. Our room was wonderful, spotlessly clean with a wonderful view of Bath. Breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to go again!

The freedom to come and go at will together with all the good points selected above.

Because of my health, I could not walk up the hill in the evening and the bus fare for just two stops is excessive. This is not a matter over which the hotel has any control, but the modest cost of the accommodation does compensate.

Good location.10 minute walk into Bath. Free parking on site.staff welcoming and friendly.nothing is too much trouble. We have stopped here on a number of occasions. And will continue to return when visiting Bath. We also came back to our room on our first night to find champagne and chocolates as a welcome for a returning customer which was a lovely surprise!!

Set in beautiful grounds and only a ten minute walk into Bath centre. Parking on site. Lovely breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

As others have mentioned parking space is tight, plus room was up two flights of stairs, but neither of these were significantly adverse to us.

While you can walk there from the train station, I didn't realize that the walk is mostly uphill! Take a cab or public bus there if you have much luggage, then walk downhill when you leave.

This B & B is not what it seems on first impressions. Out of the way in an old building. However on entering we were warmly received and given a quite larger room with a king bed. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is adequate and table service makes it very enjoyable. The staff are excellent

The hotel is a little out of town and up an fairly long hill. Walking to town takes about 15 minutes by accessing quite narrow and ( at night) dark stairs.

1. The exceptionally warm and friendly welcome from Karen, the assistant manager, followed up by that of the whole staff. 2. The excellent location for visiting Bath (bust stop outside to get you down the hill) 3. All the staff did everything they could to facilitae any wishes you had.

Oldfield's is charming, nicely decorated, with a very attentive staff and helpful when called upon. The manager had a problem in our bathroom fixed immediately.

the welcome and help we received with a home from home feeling. The breakfast was excellent and they were willing to help when it came to gluten free.

it was all good other then our room no.17 was down under the kichen and breakfast room so was noisy with foot steps from ceiling but only at breakfast time.

Staff was authentically friendly and went above the norm to make us comfortable and help with our trip. We arrived tired from traveling and they immediately made fresh tea for us, The accommodations were pristine and beautiful. There were fresh roses at our table for breakfast. Breakfast was both plentiful and delicious. Possibly the nicest lodging I have ever experienced.

My husband and I just had a wonderful couple of nights at Oldfields. What made it so special was how friendly the staff are - making us tea/biscuits on arrival and when we got back from a long day out the following afternoon, and giving us helpful info on Bath (where to go, where to eat out etc.). The hotel is well located (short walk from town centre, ideal if you want a really great Indian meal at the nearby Mint Room restaurant) and the rooms lovely. We had a deluxe four poster and it was spacious, well decorated and had a delightful balcony with views over the city. There was a relatively small window for breakfast (orders 8.00-9.20) but with full days planned this was fine and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommended - we would definitely stay here if we came back to Bath.
