The rooms were reasonably sized. We could keep and open 2 big bags while having enough space to walk. The kitchen was very small but it was fine as we cooked for our kids only. The Astor is a short tram ride (uphill) from the train station - take #7 towards the zoo and get off at the first stop once the tram turns uphill after crossing the river. The unit we had has a small kitchen that was very handy. The beds are comfortable and the rooms on the back side of the hotel are very quiet. There is a free laundry machine! We absolutely loved our stay here.

This was a great apartment for a visit to Zurich with friends. The location is perfect. The apartment is a very short walk away to main train station and the Bahnhofstrasse, and is located in the middle of the Niederdorf area. Tons of bars and restaurants nearby. The apartment was very clean (I would expect nothing less in Switzerland!) and the staff was on time in meeting us to give us the key. The rooms in the Alexander had been done to a very good standard for a small hotel. The breakfast room was small but very clean, the food was lovely with lots of selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent for a the major sites of the city and was right in the heart of a lively area with numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. It was also only a ten minute walk from the station and transportation links. Overall i would definitely recommend this hote

The size of the room is umbelieveble! The room is huge, comfortable, very well-structured. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Served in room at my convenience, was very reforced and quality products. The staff is perfect, everybody was so gentle and caring during my stay. Totally recommend and certainly would stay here again.
