Hostal San Antonio - Fotos
Lo que la gente dice
Hostal San Antonio is a very convenient and charming place. The owners
are extremely nice and helpful, my room was quite comfortable, cleaned
every day and with a cute balcony. I stayed there 5 nights by myself and
have nothing to complain about. It is situated in the lively
neighbourhood Barrio de Letras, with the Lavapies Barrio and the Puerta
del Sol nearby. At night, it can get noisy on the street, but this is
normal in Madrid (if you are light sleeper, bring earplugs). I would
totally reco. todo comentarios »

Location was PERFECTION. Adored the cheese shop 10m away (incredible wine and tapas) and the bakery (fab breakfasts). OMG am I good at finding a great place. Definitely staying here next time--and steps from Prado and Thyssen, world-class art?? Stay here!.
I loved the location, a lot of the sights accesible walking, close to
metro, the room was very clean, staff is super friendly and helpful, the
room was quite small but overall nice and cosy, and most importantly -
clean, did I mention it already?.
Very nice hotel, except for the fact there is no elevator, everything else is perfect.
I like the location, very convient, clean, small yet comfortable room. I really enjoyed the stay and would stay there again next time if visit Madrid.
Friendly staff, the hostal is in a wonderful location, everything was very clean, we felt very safe. So many fab food places really close. We loved the place and would certainly go back there. Highly recommended.
I like everything at the hostel. For me, everything was perfect. I strongly recommend this hostel for other travelers. From now on, when I'm going to Madrid, I will know where to stay ;).
Central location in a nice, busy (but not noisy), mainly pedestrian street with great cafes and restaurants
Spotlessly clean!
Friendly staff
Comfortable room
Great value for money.
Great location and got a double room even though I ordered a single. It's very clean and rooms have balconies.
Friendly service and I checked in before noon.
the location is excellent, within walking distance from everything...i recommend it with all my heart!.
great location in the centre of Madrid on a fairly quiet street, friendly staff who spoke good English.
Very friendly staff. Spoke good English.Warm and comfortable. Good free wifi. Good value. Clean.
Location is good. 5-10min walk to main attraction and art galleries. Metro is just 2 min. Away.
Adrian and Sonia who run the hostal were very friendly and helpful.

Location

Clearness.
Staff very friendly and helpful, great location.
Excelent location in the center of Madrid.
Great location.
Simple and good hostel in the center of Madrid. 5 minutes walk to the
metro and Puerta del Sol. Wi-fi works ok.
Hotel staff is friendly & supportive and location is really great. The room was clean.
Great location, 2 minutes walking from the metro and .. you really
can't get more central than this.
There is also a great breakfast place just across the street that serves beautiful Spanish breakfast for only 3,5 €.
Wifi
Good location.
1)No elevator in the building 2)a bit oldfashioned- not very high
standard but for this price we were satisfied 3) small double room and
small bathroom but again- worth money it costed.
if you are light sleeper you must find hotel in another area.
Clarify the sticker by the bell at street level, and clarify that it's 2nd floor.
Although it might not be for all the rooms, mine was a bit dark. As the
room doors are very close to each other you can hear people coming into
their rooms, and jump up thinking that someone´s coming into yours, you
can here everything that´s going on in the hostal, cause of the thin
walls, but it actually wasn´t that much of an issue.
The only thing I would mention I that it got a bit noisy in the street below late at night.
No lift. This didn't matter to me but might be inconvenient for some people.
It's on the second floor with no lift so not great if you have heavy luggage.
thin walls, you feel like being in the same room with your neibourghs.
not a lot of space in the room.
You are not allowed having guests into your room. It is on a busy nightlife street, so entertaining noise from street might be problem for some.
Walls are a bit thin but the owners can't help that.
Difficult to find (no signs).
Owners dont speak English (but still very friendly).
Extremely small room.
Street noise.
Very noisy outside till 3 o'clock at night. The rooms are
quite small.
Please, make sure you checked 4* hotels prices, cause I've discovered that I could pay an extra 30 euro for double fot the night and get a twice bigger comfortable room in a big hotel. This hotel is small, the walls are thin, there are flats with ordinary people living their lives and doing their things around you. We were really freezing in our 10 meters double on the 4 flour w/out any elevator and the kids behind the walls were screaming so loud...
- Personnel didn't speak English, couldn't answer questions
- They don't even have water at the hotel, I had to go out to get a bottle
- For the amount of money you pay,, you would expect a lot more than just a bed, a toilet and a shower.
- They charge extra for a 'patio' which is just the most tiny balcony I've ever seen. You can only fit 1 person on it.
Need to climb several flights of steps to reach room.
